I just put in this year. It either works or it has not been cold enough. I have an Eskimo QFIII and had to have my sunflower on low today and turn it off a couple times. I am waiting for the really cold weather to find out.

I think it does both to some extent. I have it on the top and the back. I have seen others have the whole thing done.

I just put mine in between my tent and poles, cutting slits where the velcro goes through. So far it's helped with condensation, seems to help with heat to but still hasn't been that cold yet.

i just used zip ties and put it over the bars on top of the house. I am very impressed with it, so far this season i have only had to have my little buddy heater on low and i have been plenty warm.

It can be a bit of a pain to get installed so it folds up uniform with your flipover, but once it is in it is well worth it.

I have yet to experience condensation on my shack this year, and I can't turn my big buddy on past low yet (and I'm fishing in a t-shirt!).

Reflectix is the bomb! Best thing you can do for any house for extra insulation.

Thinking about installing in in my 8x8 permanent.

Really helps lighting inside as the foil reflects the light big time.

Totally weightless! Can't tell any difference!

I put it in my OLD fish trap II and i love it. I use a little buddy to heat with and with it on low i can fish in a t-shirt. It was a little fight to get it in but well worth it. I did it on the back, top and front of my house and I am verry happy.

It WORKS WORKS WORKS. Best thing for the portable hands down!!!! Takes a few minutes to attatch to the house but I have used my for almost a whole season and it's still in great shape. And even if I had to replace once a year its only 30 a roll and my Yukon only takes 1/2 a roll so that is cheap heating.

I just installed some Reflectix in the roof of both my fishtrap Guide & Pro. I still havent made it out on the lake to check it out yet. I am heating both with buddy heaters(1 big buddy & 1 reg. buddy) I have fans installed as well on both and was wondering if I should do the back wall or if I'd be fine with just the roof.

The more the merrier, however I just have the roof in my guide with big buddy and that seems sufficient. Thought about doing the back, but I wasn't sure how to attach it to the tub and didn't want it dangling down. Roof seems fine though, you will love it. No drips for me and the light reflection is key.

I just put some in this year and took it out once. It gets toasty. Mine is on the back and top. I cut out small slits and pulled the velcro straps through on my otter. Used foil tape as well.

I foil taped the slits as well to keep the slits from getting bigger. I have used it in my voyager which I heat with a buddy heater usually on low, high on the cold days, and I have installed it in my solo otter. the otter is kept warm with the base camp heater......it was too warm with the buddy heater, but I keep the heater in the tub of the ice house and not on the ice, that seems to keep the heat close to me at least and less snow melt on the ice....

The light reflection is great and I can keep my buddy on low in my one man in 5 degrees and be just fine, though I've been accused of being cold blooded more than once.

I have it tucked under the tent in the back and taped up front. I have a couple LEDs up from pointed straight down and I can see everything behind me due to all the reflection, so that little plus turned out to be really nice.

It makes a huge difference with overall warmth and condensation. I have had it in my Fish Trap Pro for 4 years, and absolutely love it. Like others have said, it is the BEST modification you can do to a portable house!

I put it in my Yukon last year, just the top and back. I cut slits in it for the velcro straps and it fits between the canvas and the poles and hangs down the back. It folds easily when you collapse the portable and adds no weight. It does keep it warmer and I have absolutley no ice/frost buildup inside now even at -20. I also tie wrapped a couple of LED strings to one of the top poles and the reflectix does reflect the light back down towards the ice.

Best thing you can do to modify a porty IMO.

Put in refectix on my Clam Pro back and top last weekend used it two days on Mille Lacs. Only down to 4 deg F but only way to go, was warm to the point of taking jacket off. I use the smallest buddy to maximize space and it was plenty. I use a four inch band of spray fabric glue to secure the back. Highly recommend.

After reading through enough threads like this I was convinced to try this modification. I installed Reflectix in my Cabelas 2 man (A rebranded Team Wild 2 sold under the Cabelas name) this past weekend.

I can't wait to get it out this Saturday!

I installed it in my Voyager, Guide, and scout. Ceilings only. Saturday I fished in the guide in my coat and jeans with buddy heater on low. I also installed led lights in all 3. I didn't even know it was dark out. One other thing that someone suggested is using a piece of reflex under your buddy heater. I did this also and had no water problems like I have had in the psat. $32 and had enough for all 3 houses plus enough to do another scout or 1 man.

I just installed it on my Clam Guide. It took a little over an hour and it looks great. I sealed it with the shiny aluminum tape (I think that is what it is called?) and I can't wait to use it. I am hoping it also will work with lighting up my shack better. It cost me around $10 for the reflex and I had some left over. I will try it under my buddy heater and see how it works. I plan to be out on Wednesday and Friday to see how it works.

Installed in my Yukon and my sons Voyager. The biggest benefit I have seen is no condensation dripping from the roof. It also helps hold some heat in. Well worth the money and time to install. I bought 1 48" roll and had enough to do 1 Voyager and 2 Yukons. Roofs only.
