BOOTS!

i've decided to use some birthday/x-mas cash to get an AA suit instead of a portable this year. so i will need a boot upgrade from wearing my regular hunting boots. my feet generally get colder than my fingers. looking to spend up to 150 on the boots.

so far im thinking about the ice armor boots. interested in feedback of those boots or others you may use. want them relatively light but comfortable and warm.

thanks

I also have the LaCrosse Alpha Ice Man boots. I think they are the best boots for on the ice that I have ever owned never had cold feet after I bought them. because of the nyoprim linner you need to take extra care keeping them dry in side but you do that there should be problems

I'll give a vote for Mickey Boots. My feet have NEVER gotten cold and I've fished with no ice house for 8+ hours in weather that bottomed out at 25 below (without the windchill). Also have fished in 5 inches of water/slush on top of the ice and didn't get wet at all because the whole outer of the boot is rubber. If you want warm dry feet get some Mickeys. Best part is I get them for $20 so you'd have a lot of that $150 left to put towards your new portable.

I really like my LaCrosse Alpha Ice Man boots. They maybe aren't the lightest boots out there, but I think the rubber on them are a huge insulating factor and you can probably find them for around $100.

I've had mine for years and love 'em.

I've worn the mickey boots and they are very warm. I also own some ice kings and aside from them being a little on the heavy side they are very warm. I think I'm gonna try some Baffins this year. They are much lighter than the ice kings (at least they feel like it).
