Recommended Posts

My Laptop died about 2-3 weeks ago and I am using Vanessa's when available, so my response time may be a day or so out of sync!!! Best bet is to call and hopefully Vanessa isn't flapping her gums with her Mother 23.75 times a day cry

I am calling in a few Chris!!!

Take care and be a Hero...save a Hatian!!! (no ill intentions)

Hit EB tonight. Missed one and that was it. Found a nice drop off not too far from the main parking area. May try it tomorrow in the AM. Hard to find fish lately. Plenty of ice there and cold. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get the 36 hrs or so of warm they call for.

Chris, for future reference, You can park at the General store on the south end. I have also parked on East lake rd. Not to far from the stop sign on the north end as your headin south youll see a big concrete boat ramp on the right. Ive parked there and used the ramp for access in the past with no problems.

Fished Tusc today. Tried the usual spots mid way down the south end. Not even a mark. Wind was rippin across about 20mph solid. Moved around the corner from the willow to get a break from the wind for a couple hrs. Didnt mark a singal fish all mornin. confused..

It wasn't much different for us but at least we got out again. Cooked venison on the ice and it was great. Chris, did you or your son loose a pair of Klein needle nose pliers? Got 'em if you did and will return them. Did a lot of walking today, sore but still enjoyed it.

Today 1/24/10 12:00pm-5:00pm Went back to the pond in front of the LC. Found fish right away in 10 fow lots of dinks and a few keepers mixed in. First fish was a solid 12" perch thought it was going to be good. Bounced around in the deeper water thinking we would find something better but ended up back in 10 fow for the evening. Did 17 decent keepers to 12" threw back many in the 8 1/2"-91/2" range. Must of caught at least 75 dinks today.

Todd - the only thing the water will not lift up is our spirits. I welcomed the warmth and rain to knock stuff down and improve conditions but this is a bit much. Hard to say what damage it may have done to the ice, maybe not much, but might loose the shoreline in some places and obviously open cracks, etc. The other problem is just how murky things will get with all the run off.

My friend and I got back from Durago with 2 limits of perch. We each caught well over 100 dinks. Wind was brutal with a whiteout to boot this afternoon. 8 in of ice with a couple of in of wind blown snow on top. I did not use the cando lure today nor did I use any type of castmaster. Nice seeing you guys today.

Way to go Tank and Boys...notice I said "boys", because anyone that fishes next to Tank...is a Boy cry

I found some Jumbos today as well whistle Local Madison County body of water. With all the rain, I decided to head a little shallower near some fresh incoming water and found some serious Jumbos in 15' of water. My normal 25' GPS spot didn't show any signs of action, so I made a deduction and it payed it's dividends wink

This spot should only be HOT for another day or two before the Perch disperse back into their normal mid-winter shuffle. I am back to work tomorrow, but will be back to "said" spot Sunday morning for a Jumbo Jam cry

Anyone in? Just kidding...no one will find me shocked Except Tank...he knows how to fish with real men!!!

Take care and be safe!!!
