Larger bodies of water near Clearwater this morning had ice forming on the shore for about 15ft

The small ponds were frozen completely as well

Vermilion still has waves. Some of the smaller back bays are starting to ice over. Got a report that Oak Narrows had a couple inches of ice but can't verify that report. Water temp was at 34 degrees on Sunday.

12/1-- Coon Lake channel half skimmed over,Crooked Lake- skimmed over near boat launch,Round Lake(Andover)completely skimmed over.

Minnetonka was completely open at around noon. Minnehaha Creek below the Gray's Bay dam was covered in skim ice except where ducks kept it open.

Hiniker Pond Mankato, MN. Wide open.

Larger sloughs and bays in the Fergus area are skimming. We need the wind to lay down for a couple nights.

McCraney Lake east of Waubun was 90% ice this morning. This weekend I'll be able to give better updates when I can get out and stomp on the ice a little out on some of the smaller area lakes.

Stella, Washington, and Manuella are all 100% open still in Meeker county. The west tail of Pigeon Lake (swamp) is staring to skim over though. If the winds die down and temps remain below freezing for a while, I don't think it would take long to form ice on any of the Hutchinson are lakes.

Pigeon Lake just north of Hutchinson was skimmed over yesterday morning but forgot to look on my way home this evening. Other small ponds also had a skim on them north of Hutchinson on Highway 15.

South of Grand Rapids a duck hunting lake had a couple inches on it.

East Central -

I went out tonight to some of the accesses around the Cambridge area.

It was very dark when I got home so I couldn't see the entire lake but it appears most of the skim ice has been lost to the wind.

Fannie had a very small amount of skim ice in and around the weeds at the access off 95 and there were waves at 9PM on the other access I checked.

I will take a look tomorrow during daylight and update everyone.

I plan to look at Francis, Long, Spectacle, and Green (Isanti County) Lakes tomorrow during day light.

Small lakes in Centerville area are skimmed over completely.

A very small lake thats out of the wind in the Battle lake area has about 30 yards of ice out from shore.

East Central -

Some lakes near Cambridge MN.

Fannie, Francis, Long (Isanti County by Isanti), Spectacle, and Green (Isanti County) Lakes are all wide open.

Maybe a little sikm ice in the rushes but not much else.

The wind is not helping us.

Very small ponds (a little bigger than a ditch) and sloughs have ice covering them.

Cross lake area north of brainerd, same story skim ice on smaller lakes and ponds. Open water on larger bodies of water. I will keep you updated with more reports when needed. One or two weeks we should see some progress.

Ponds and small/medium lakes finally skimmed over in the Mankato area.

Lake Benton in SW MN, one of our region's bigger lakes, is skimmed over tonite. Temp at 11 degrees and very little wind, clear skies, bright moon. Great nite for ice making!
