Steve Foss
The stronger your love for your team, the more harsh the sense of betrayal when your most important franchise player ends up leading your most hated rival. That's what elicited the boos for Favre on Sunday. And again, it was about 50-50, with maybe a slight edge to the boos. To label Packers fans in general as classless because of the behavior of some of them is like saying all Minnesotans eat lutefisk and lefse because there are so many Swedes and Norwegians here. And it WOULD be the same way if the Vikes fans were in a similar situation. Some would have been PO'd, others would have cheered a player who had done so much for their team. You are kidding yourselves if you think you are any better than the fans of any other team. Kid on, gents, kid on.
walleyes12
I consider myself so fortunate to be there to see the best player in Packer history forever tarnish his legacy in Green Bay. As vikes fans, if we never win the superbowl, we'll always have this.Side Note: I have nothing bad to say about Packers Fans. I was a guest of a season ticket holder who lives in Green Bay and we tailgated at a house 2 blocks from Lambeau and everyone treated me good and made me feel welcome....even after the game. I too had nothing bad to say about the packer fans. This was my wife and I first trip to Lambeu and we didnt know what to expect from the packer fans. I was really surprised how nice everyone was. We felt very welcomed Tailgating, and at the stadium. We had an absolute blast. I love Lambeau Field!!
Brade4
Tell me this..Where would the Vikes be at with Sage or T-Jack? Sure it was the Packers fault they lost Brett. I understand, both moved on. Of course there will be some [PoorWordUsage] fans booing. Minnesota has some idiotic fans as well as every other team in the league. Nothing to be alarmed about. No, I was going off reports from four others who were at the game. Whose reports are most reliable? Who knows? Who cares? It's an Internet sports forum, for gosh sakes, not anything important. Right? And it's not like I'm going to take the word of a Packers hater when reporting Packers fan behavior. But rock on, sled, snow is coming soon and you'll be a happier guy. Badger
Good lord.....do they have any Packers fans that aren't semi retarded? In watching all the pregame shows yesterday and listening to all the interviews, you would think that all the fans actually believe they OWNED Favre. Longwell kicked for the Packers for 9 years and they didn't comdemn him to death like they did Favre. Even the old worthless Packers players act like Favre shouldn't ever play for another team. If I am not mistaken, did Lombari not coach a different team AFTER he coached the Packers? And to this day, they worship the ground he walked on like he was holier than the Pope himself. Everyone is oh so happy with Rodgers, LET IT GO!!! The Vikings now have the better QB so deal with it!! Lay off the "retarded" comments MUSKY18....it's in poor taste. I have a niece that's a special needs child, and I get offended by people saying she's retarded. I'm sure there are fellow posters (MN & WI), that have special needs kids in their families. bigred1974
I think Brett Favre coming to the vikings was the best move we have made in years. I am a die hard vikings fan, but I am also a Favre fan as well. I was a Favre fan even when he was kicking the Vikings butt time after time. I think the media is making this out to be something its not. Granted Favre has retired and come back a few times is his business and his right. Wasn't he LOCKED out of Packers training camp and told to "stay retired"? I think his trade with the Jets was total [PoorWordUsage] anyways. "We don't want you but we don't want the other teams that do to have you." I equate it to breaking up with a hot girl and then being completely jealous that someone else wants her. Steve Foss
actually, Id rather spend winters hunting in the south Considering that most Super Bowls are in warm regions, sounds like a great fit. Get the tickets, and if the Vikes pee it down their leg and miss the Bowl, at least you can scalp the ticks and get in some good hunting. And you'll never have to run the sled to do it. Well, you WILL be in snake country, but most Vikes fans are used to a certain amount of venom in their diets.

BlueLundFishrman
I don't know if I'd say "absolute", because there's teams out there much worse than them. They're the 2nd best team in the NFC North. Doesn't say much for the division.

Hopefully GB is bad enough to make a changes at GM,Head coach, line coaches, O and D coordinators, Special Team coaches,ect.,ect. Time for a complete overhaul. I like the idea of a Holmgren, Cowher tandem. A couple big free agents with leadership skills and you'd have an Offense and Defense under insane discipline which GB needs more than anything.
