Bass Whacker
just a bit soft, thats actually prtty solid compared to most of the summer the high water never let the island dry out like it usually dose

Bass Whacker
flats were what we were after. We had 3 other small ones that night and my buddy lost a nice one. The next night the gar wouldnt leave us alone, made it tough to keep a bait in the water.

Mr Special
Finally was able to boat some nice flats last night. i was out last night fishing for sturgeons and didnt catch a single sturgeon. however, i did catch some sumo channels and 3 flats. 26", 35x22 and 42x26. so i guess the best way to catch flats is NOT TO FISH FOR THEM. since these were only my 3 n 4th flats of the yr lol go figure eh

aanderud
Nice fish, Phil. I like em fat! Funny that you have to go sturgeon fishing to get into the fat flatties. :-)
Mr Special
Got this FAT Flatty 32x24 last night while fishing for Sturgeons. That makes 4 flats in the last 2 outings, which is a total of about 9hrs of fishing lol I cant believe I spent countless sleepless hrs this season chasing them and all i had to do was NOT TARGET flats to catch them. Fish are weird !!
