How many rod setups do you bring out?

I was just curious on how many different rod setups people usually bring out with them. I am sick of having to tie up while out and am looking for suggestions on how many to have rigged and ready to go.

I bring six.

Three are rigged for Blugills.

Three are rigged for Crappies.

I have a good assortment of jigs tied on to fit almost any situation.

It saves time on the ice to have extra rods ready!

Between 6-8. Half rigged for pan fish. The other half for larger game.

I usually have 3 rods with different jigs on them. Usually one with a Gill Pill and a little plastic tail, one with a Fat Boy that I'll put a waxie on, and one rod with an Arnold's Fairy jig that I'll put a waxie on.

For me it depends on if it's just me or the wife and I. But 4-9 rods usually accompany me on my trips.

i have 3...2 crappie/panies rigs and 1 walleye

1 minnow set/ 1 jig set for crappies

i dont ever catch walleyes so only 1 for that

I carry six rods in my rod bag everytime I'm out. 3 for panfish/perch, and 3 walleye/channel cats/other species. At this point in the season I could swap out the other 3 for other panfish rigs. So anyway, I normally have six rods at any given time.

Lake trout 6 plus tipups, which includes two rods for smelt.

I have tried to take less, I cant, when I try to take less I end up ticked because I retie to much.

Probably more than I should. I usually have 5-6 rods with me. Some spring bobber rods set for panfish and some deadsticks set with a bobber. Always looking for more.

i carry 3 with different jigs for pannies and one bobber rig for pannies also that makes 4

I usually carry around 2 or 3 rods each set up differently to help save time. One might have a spring bobber and the others differently....

Even with 2 - 3 rods sometimes another one or two would be nice...

95% of the time im using my MarCum rod bag which only holds 4, but that is usually enough. If I have my Stone Legacy It holds 8 and that is more than enough for me and usually who ever i'm fishing with.

i bring 5. 2 are set up for panfish. 2 are set up for walleyes and one for northerns or lakers. it makes it alot easier to have more rods set up while out and saves alot of time.

Usually as many as possible. Heaters burn line, line freezes to ice and when I try to chip it out I cut the line.

Right now 3 always thinking of more. The benny of being set up is immeasurable. I just have not gotten into that mind frame as far as cost. Lures and such have been fore front for now.

Wow ... you should post your storage system. That's a lot of rods. I use 3 hard tube cases - I can fit 3 combo's per (or squeeze 4 panfish rods). Using rod slicks is a MUST. Pretty compact setup, but takes a little extra time to pack them up if I've pulled them out for use.

Usually 2 or 3 rods with a couple rigged for pannies and one for jigging eye's. Also during the season I usually bring a tip up or two if I feel the urge to put one down for a pike or two.
