I doubt it, looks more like he's trying to save himself from losing $10 crankbaits. wink

and you know what. The leader makes a great thing to grab when netting a fish as you can guide the treble hooks away from the net... plus its handy for holding when your taking hooks out so that the fish isnt flopping out of control near your legs.

Here's one I caught today down here in IA. Took the class on a field trip and was able to hook into this one. Saw a lot of them on beds down here. The water was very clear so the students were able to see a lot of them.

Nice fish everyone. We hit Mille Lacs on Sunday out of Isle and had a tough day. Fish didn't seem to be up on the rocks. We tried trolling the deeper edges and didn't get anything there either. There were a ton of boats on the deeper reefs fishing walleye. We saw a few other bass boats in the same spots we were fishing, but only saw one fish caught. We caught two on the day, a 19.5 on the first cast and a 16" right before we left. Both fish came on a Lake Fork craw tube. Tried shadraps, Xraps, spinnerbaits, tubes, Husky Jerks and several other baits. Oh well, still great to get out!
