fishin58
DH must be reffering to the awesome Game Gus was having against the LIONS. And T came in and saved the season....
gillhunter2
Need a 2nd WR worse than a QB. Coach is gonna stay. Live with it for another year! Same story next year if offensive scheme is not changed. Defense will be solid again.
Scott K
Lets face it, neither QB is great, there are alot of better options out there, all we can do is hope we go after a better option to start the season next year. Why argue over who is best? To me T-Jack got his last shot to prove to be a starter and he didnt prove anything to me! I dont want to give up on him altogether, lets go after a good QB, and keep him for a back up. I think Birk will except a smaller contract to stay here in MN, or he will retire. I dont think he will play anywhere else.Sharper said he wants to finish his career here in MN as well, but I think he will go elsewhere if the money is right!I agree about Leber, we need to sign him. We also need to find another good WR. Maybe someone that can cover a reciever in our secondary. A new coach and we are SB CHAMPS!
FISHINGURU
"During a 25-minute stretch from early in the third quarter to late in the fourth, Jackson was 2-for-11 for 17 yards with one sack, one fumble and one botched snap from Birk that the Eagles recovered." yay go tjack!!!how long are people gonna hang on to the couple nice throws he does in a game? wow he looks so much better now..compared to what he was before isn't saying much.he makes a couple nice throws a game...he's a qb at the national football league level...a couple nice throws don't cut it....we drafted him 3 years ago...he's far from a rookie...there were a handful of qb's this season with less experience that make him look like a clown.anyone can blame chilly and his play calling for tjacks performance...you can even blame chilly for moving up to take him in the 2nd round when he was a projected 5-6th round qb to be our franchise qb...chilly could of went in any direction and thats the direction he chose...thats chilly's guy...go chilly another wonderful coaching decision.for the fans that want change we probably won't see it because we won a terrible division...chilly's record improved and tjack showed glimpses of being an actual qb.so if we head into the season with chilly as head coach and tjack as the starting qb we will see more of the same lame coaching and inconsistant quarterback play....sophicating our true potential.if any sports fan don't think we wouldn't of had a better record or went further into the playoffs with better coaching and more consistant quarterback play they are blind....without our stellar defense we would be absolutly shredded every game....our defense is out there all the time playing at a high level even though we barely can run the clock or put together time consuming drives to give them rests.cassel isn't totally out of the question even if he gets the franchise tag...it depends on the brady situation...if brady is fine and they feel confident he's healthy they could trade cassel while his value is high.anderson would be a decent guy to try...his stock has went down compared to last season but he has a big arm and played on a pretty bad team with the wr's dropping every ball in sight the whole year.people are startin to talk about ol favre coming here already lol...that should get interesting.we need to get someone in here to challenge tjack for the job...his competition as been the weakest in history....yeah lets compete against brad johnson and gus in training drills...i'd want a mentor that pushes me and makes me be the best i can be by trying to be better then them.if i was zigy i'd say if you want to remain head coach we are going out and getting an top end offensive coordinator that makes the play calls on offense...your job is head coach not offensive coordinator.special teams coach bye bye....we allowed the most return tds in the history of the game and consistantly give good field position and put our defenses backs to the wall....sorry but just losing our special team specialist doesn't make your whole scheme fall apart that bad...good coaches make adjustments..every team deals with injury.we'll probably lose our defensive coordinator like every year but i think a 3rd grader could do good with our D...sure is gonna be sweet to have ej back especially the way greenway is playing now.come on zigy...if your gonna make me sit through all this again atleast pick up asomugha!!!! we are gonna need the greatest defense in NFL history to pull this off.lets add the best cover corner in the league...a guy that can contain any elite wr in the league. zepman
Vikes window is closing fast as some of their key players age. I think they should take a really hard look at bringing in someone like Garcia to play Q-back. He's been there, seen everything, and played for the Eagles a year or two so he'd know a little something about our offense/Chilly. I know he's injury prone but he's been playing in pass happy offenses for a long time now. Here, he wouldn't be required to drop back 30-40 times a game and get pounded. He's not the "future" Q-back for this team but he is a play-maker and could possibly take this team to the next level.

FISHINGURU
looks like childress gets another year...mark wilf says "absolutly" and zigy says "yes, yes, yes!!" lolthey seem to be happy with being mediocre...and they can't believe we've won 2 more games this year its a miracle...without chilly i don't see how we could of won 2 more games this season either lmmfao...his clock management, half time adjustments, and play calling got us over the hump this year!! we sure taught greenbay, chicago, and detroit a lesson this year boy!so time to move on with that....now we can only hope some of the other bad coaches get fired...i'd be surprised if they do since they are "chillys guys"....as you've noticed its hard for him to part with his guys.i can admire being true and sticking to your guns but i don't admire when those decisions hurt the team more then they help just because it's your way or no way.offensive coordinator and special teams coach have to go imo...lets get a real offensive coordinator and relieve childress of the play calling duties...to much for him to handle.i'm hoping we get a good qb now forsure...the qb situation we are in now blows goats...anything will be an improvement but i don't want another guy thats closing in on 50 years old either...we were a qb away from goin far this year and i'd imagine we are gonna be a qb away from goin far next year now that chilly is guarenteed to be here.tjack and chilly don't work good together if you haven't noticed yet.hopefully a few home games will be on tv next year...if not it will sure be easy to get a seat. FISHINGURU
definatly need a new qb.if we don't spend alot on a new qb or don't get one at all i say open the checkbook up and pick up the best corner in football...he's a free agent and wants out of oakland. Scott K
I think if the Vikes get a "GOOD" veteran QB to compete with T-Jack for the starting position next season, get a good tackle in the draft mid round, sign Birk with a lesser contract, offer Sharper a little less to play on a 1 yr contract, pick up a stud reciever early round, get rid of Childress, or atleast if they are going to keep Childress find a good offensive coordinator, we should be an elite team next year! How about this? Hire Denny Green back as our offensive coordinator? He knew his offense!

FISHINGURU
i'd take a 3rd grader to take over the play calling at this point..chilly is staying by the sounds of it so our only hope is getting a new OC to take over the play calling.i have no clue why the OC and ST's coach are still here....hopefully we are just waiting for the end of the year but like i said they are chilly's guys and he probably can't part with them.me and a buddy were discussing the billick idea as OC when we found out zigy and mark are in love with chilly and he's staying....do you think a guy would come in under chilly when they know they are a better coach? it would be nice to have him as our OC and get ol denny in here too lol...i wish we had this defense back when we had the best offense around...we would of clowned anyone in the history of the game. Sandmannd
Maybe they could bring him in as OC and if chilli makes a mess of things again you have a really good coach to take over anytime you want.

zepman
I can't believe they are reataining the special teams coach even with all of the injuries. It was historic how bad their coverage units were and it was getting worse, not better as the season progressed. Wow!! Now that's loyalty to a fault. FISHINGURU
i hear that.what do you guys think about the possibility about trading for hasselbeck? the seahawks are entering a rebuilding phase and might be willing to part with him for a 2nd round pick. fishin58
One thing that killed me every game was a special team messup. The touching of the ball inside the 5. I bet the purp messed that up 6 times this year. I am pretty sure I was coached on that aspect in like 9th grade. How do they not understand this simple concept? If you go in the endzone = you are useless on that play.
kr8r.tom
game plan and play calling is coaching, a coach shouldn't have to remind the players the fundamentals of a game that they have been playing since 7th grade, shows most of them didn't deserve a college degree.
