So will the Cornelia Marie not be on "Deadliest Catch" if the show is renewed for another season?

I'm 99 percent sure it will never be on "Deadliest Catch" again.

I read through the hate mail responses to Oregonian interview. I was suprised at the level of Derrick hatred. A lot of good points were brought up for both sides, but c'mon, what ever happened to the Captain being the absolute boss of the ship?? Too many Chiefs and not enough (you know what) isn't good anywhere.

Personally I think they should have went straight to red kings instead of playing against a stacked deck for blues on a somewhat maiden voyage.

They all just bit off more than they could chew. And I agree with one of the posts that pointed out the Harris boys need some more maturity and shut up and fish. Derrick didn't bring out the argumentive attitude in the boys, the boys did. How many times were they toe to toe with Phil in the wheelhouse?

I can still hear Phil yelling at Jake, "Who told you you could talk?!"

He's trying to save face just like that dope Dorsey from Gold Rush who got ran off too. He had an entire blog about how he was the victim, although I doubt he even knew how to operate a pencil sharpener let alone any piece of equipment related to gold mining.

Jonathan Hilstrand was going to run the CM during opie season but the boat owner wouldn't let him. Biggest mistake she made.

Pretty easy to say what to do, as we all have been there. Captain is the Captain, the crew is the crew. I do agree that Josh has a better head on his shoulders. And Jake should have to give a URINE TEST!

Interesting interview. Lots of TV drama for the smoking dope thing. I wonder how common that really is though. Although it's illegal to use drugs on a crab boat (where isn't it), I bet it's a lot more common than we're made to believe. Sounds like the CM is not going to be airing much anymore.

If his captains license was at risk I would have called the cops too. No sense letting someone else mess up your life. Im surprised none of the crew said anything about it? I wouldn't want anyone under the influence of anything while working on a boat like that. Too many dangers. Heck the lack of sleep is bad enough, why add anything else to the mix.

Jake Harris is a pretty shady character and it showed in the last episode. Josh has a solid head on his shoulders and will be running that boat sooner rather than later... Jake on the other hand is struggling with some of his own personal battles

Its really too bad Phil isnt around anymore to put Jake in his place and tell him to shut his mouth.

I don't mind this Derrick guy, but catching some crab would have avoided 99% of this drama.

Fishing for blues first was kind of a risk, one they all knew about. I agree though, with good crab counts everything else would have been overlooked.

Edgar will either be done or will fish one more season of Opies. I highly doubt he will be back next year and I applaud him for wanting to spend more time with the fam. I've always liked Edgar and think it's kind of funny how he messes with Jake.

Man what a King season most boats had. 6-8 weeks to catch what they've done in 2 or 3 in some seasons. Wonder how the Opie season will go for guys.

I think Edgar will be back too. Ruesse once made a crack about sport stars, Favre in particular, about retiring and "spending time with the family after years of not being around" .... then once they get there the family drives them nuts and they come running back to play.

Josh seems dedicated to crabbing so I am pulling for him.

Seabrooke crew was funny, all set to walk, then they got paid and they will be back for Opie.

TBs prank on NW was good too, but I think there was added drama from Sig then in reality

It didn't take the years when Phil was captain, it didn't take when the cops got involved off-season, it didn't take when Phil was on his deathbed, and it didn't take with a new captain. Why would you think if Phil was still around it would make an iota of difference? This kid needs to be off of a boat and cleaning up his life. I have always liked Josh, and wish him the best. Unfortunately, I think that he will only grow into a captain with Jake not around.

As was stated, all of these people's problems on all of the boats are solved when you get on crab. Imagine of you needed to bring in 100 Walleye on your next 2-day fishing weekend to make a restaurants quota? Fishing gets a lot less enjoyable and a lot more stressful, especially when you are the captain.

That boat is just a mess, the captain seems like a jerk, Josh wants to keep everything together and not lose the boat and Jake might be doin drugs again messed up, I found it funny how Keith was takin shots at the Time Bandit saying he has a $2 million boat payment and Johnathan has a corvette payment to make.

I havent watched this weeks episode yet, but for christ sake that captain is in a position that I wouldn't touch. Running the boat with a bunch of whiney kids that are technically your boss that dont know anything second guessing your every move. No thanks on that job.

With that said, they did have some crappy luck with the fishing.

last night was a commercial for Deadiest Catch, and it ended with Jake and Josh standing on a dock. I suppose it could have been filmed way in advance, but maybe we haven't seen the last of them
