polarsusd81
For me I am partial to a few different colors of plastics depending on the body style. For senko types, I love the Red Shad laminates and the watermelon colors. For minnowjerks, I like white/silver combos or a chartruese for fishing stained water.Jig trailers are black, dark brown, or green, depending on the jig color. For the classic curl tail worm, love red shad as well. I like the pumpkin and watermelon colors in worms too. I have also had good results with tomatoe colored worms under certain conditions.Grubs are more of a water/weather condition factor for me, and usually go with more natural colors with them, though for a spinnerbait trailer, I love chartruese.I haven't used any of the beaver-style baits yet, but I would think my first pack of them will be either dark brown or black. What are your prefered colors for soft plastics? Deitz Dittrich
Like you said, it does depend quite a bit on body style, and for me water clarity. I have a lot of confidence in a few colors... junebug, watermellonseed/red flake, black/blue, pumpkinseed. Those are the colors I seem to reach for the most and or varieties of those colors.I tend to deviate the most with soft plastic jerkbaits. Which Itend to throw a lot of whites, golds, pinks/greens. Central Bassman
I like to use a lot of Green Pumpkin, Black, Brown, Black Blue and Junebug. With the type of water conditions we have in Minnesota these colors have seemed to work the best for me.
