JNP- brown w/ green fleck- I probably fish black/blue jnp 95% of the time, but ran out of chunks for that rig and ended up catching a nice one on brown...maybe I should mix it up more... Fluker
Had several 5 lb fish the past year (as mentioned before, it was a GREAT year). I'd say most came on tubes or DS.Largest were:7lb 6oz LM - Tube Bait5lb even SM - Chatterbait (I'm not kidding!)My 2nd and 3rd biggest fish of the year were 6.44 and 6.05 in Missouri. Both came on jigs.Fluker
Deitz Dittrich
Yikes.. had to dig into my notes.. These were the lures used to catch my top three sized bass last year. Biggest was 6lbs 8 oz... But all were over 6...#1 Dropshot (sweet beaver imatation)#2 Stupid Rig, RT slug#3 Drop Shot, Creature tube.On side note... although I caught a ton of fish on a drop shot last year.. I wouldnt have called it a big fish lure even though 2 of my top 3 are on drop shot... Flipping tube did far better on over average fish.. but none made the top 3... tunrevir
I would think that the drop shot is going to put fish in the boat most of the time but I'd have to say it is more of a finesse, cold front technique or better for deep water on clearer impoundments when looking to put fish in the boat versus some of the other techniques that are out there. I did like the stupid rig setup. Fits my fishing style, though I might not be able to put it to good use. My biggest bass came on a suspending crank, a deep crank and a spinner bait. Sometimes those walleye techniques will produce fish when other presentations aren't, so don't lock in on one thing and think it is the key. Keep an open mind, sometimes you need to go outside the box and you might be surprised at the fish you catch. I Love the smallies, and the largemouth but don't really target either. I learned alot in the fun bass leaugue last year and hope to hit it again this year. Tunrevir~ (I am always looking to learn!)

Year before that, 5" texas rigged Gulp watermelon sinking minnow split down the middle on the last inch and a half with a knife. Made it have a kind of wacky rig wiggle on the end.
