Dads 1st winter in 2 years since deployment in Iraq. His 3rd ice fishing trip, the trout were hungry & we got our limit, Dad had a great time.

That was Slabfest last year. Good Lord did we get snow up there. As a matter of fact, that is 2 years in a row where it has seriously dumped on Slabfest. Can we make it 3 in a row?

yeah I agree, I wasn't at slabfest last year, but on LOW that weekend and you said it, snow, and snow and COLD!

Wow, those are some amazing photos. Please keep them coming. These are the kind of photos you look at and realize how lucky you are to be alive and in that moment. I went to look for a shot and realized that I didn't stop and smell the roses enough. I can't find any good landscape photos. I have lots of big fish photos and don't get me wrong, I love those memories, but its hard to forget the images of sunsets, gorgeous lakes, moonrises, and Lake Shantytown, Minnesota. I have a few nice shots from the summer but definitely not enough that portray the beauty of Minnesota winter on the ice.

Here is my boy Logan. He is a few weeks shy of 3 years old in these pics. Loves to help Daddy scoop ice out of holes... He fights 10 inch crappies like I fight 5 lb Bass... Hillarious!

Here's one of my wife and daughter and soon to be baby boy (1 mo. to go!!) out on Big Marine this past weekend. My daughter was digging the little shack in the background... kept asking about the boys in that barrel! LB
