I am getting married in two days. My friends tell me that she will lock me in a cage so I guess I won't get to talk to you guys as much. HAHA Actually I am excited! We are getting married on Friday at 5:00. Looks like we will have nice weather. Wish me luck!

Later,

Nate

PS...any words of advice for the wedding/reception?

Enjoy the mariage even if the wedding is boring and tiring.

make sure she can go shopping so you can go fishing. If she can shop at a sporting goods store the better.

You are registered at Cabelas arent you?

does cabelas have a gift registry now? that would be so amazing!! the g/f (soon to be fiance when i can save up some money) just got into bowhunting and cabelas seems to be her favorite store lately, so i am sure i could swing that somehow if cabelas offered it.

Best of luck Nate.. if you picked the right girl, all will be wonderfull.. Treat her the way you want to be treated. And advice... Even though its your night, do your best to remember to not drink too much. Its a day you will want to remember the rest of your life!

I am sure you found the right girl Nate. I got married in April and it is great. The biggest problem I have is trying to find time to fish with the jsut the guys. The wife is always bugging me to take her. What a problem, huh?

Good luck and enjoy it all.

Thanks everyone! No I didn't register at Cabela's...I wish I had though. Oh well. I registered for a bunch of tools at Sears so that is the coolest stuff we will get I am sure.

That is for sure! Duck hunting could be interesting...I usually go almost every weekend. I will try to make it up to her during the off season.

This is good advice! It could be tough but I will try my best. smile.gif

If she has put up with your hunting and fishing this long, she still should after the left handed ring goes on.

As far as the night, it will go faster than you think, take it all in and enjoy the night. You can try to talk to everone that came but it will never happen so take it as it comes and be sure to remember its your (your and hers) night.

To all the single guys, I usually say:

"Get married, why should you be happy"?

I have always tried to 'compromise' in my marriage and that worked pretty good. My best advice would be: always keep the lines of communication open. There isn't enough space on the server to give you all the advice I have on this thread, so I guess it'll be a real journey for you two. You two will figure it out on your own.

God bless and good luck.

Women spend their lives trying to turn their husbands into something they wern't when they were dating.

Congrats and the Best of Luck to the both of you. I have been married for 33 years and hunt and fish more than I ever have. Just remember that she also has needs to and just dont think that the hunting and fishing is everything.

Like Dietz stated, Keep the booze to a minimum and make your first day together a great one and she will also remember that. Its a two way street for it to work and it can be wonderfull.
