Scott M
I saw a reel I've been meaning to buy on an internet sale from one of Gander's big competitors. Would they honor their low price guarantee with this, or is it only print ads? Thanks....

0 Orlip
Most places wont price match Internet offers. Most wont even match there own price if its lower on the net.
0 Phred52
I beg to differ!!! This last winter I was in the market for 2 ATV covers. The place I found them and the price was right, so I ordered. "Item not available" for like 45 days. I copied the internet page and took it to Gander, Came home with the IDENTICAL item that was in the catalog! AND, that was with the salesmans' supervisors blessing!!It was a $50 saving!! If you're in "doubt", I can show you the ad and the receipt. Go ahead, copy the internet ad and take it in. The worst that can happen is one may say "no", go back after that shift ends and your "luck" may change. Phred52
0 Tippman
Scheels also told me they would match internet prices. I did not actually try it though to see if they would follow through with the offer.
0 caseymcq
Print off the add and bring it in. They should match it.
0 Dave
Cabelas and Sportsmans Warehouse price matched trail cameras from the internet. I don't see why GM wouldn't price match from online.
0 vermilionfox
Bass Pro will match their own internet prices at their retail stores. I did it just yesterday. I'm not sure if they'll match competitors internet prices. It's worth a try, what do I have to lose? Cabelas just opened a new store here last Friday, so their prices on the net would be easiest to justify matching by Bass Pro.
0 snowman678
Cabelas just matched a Reeds internet price for me on a new reel. I printed off the add & brought it in; they just called Reeds to confirm the item was in stock & matched it no problem.
0 Sutty
Hey vermillion, I was in Branson a few weeks back and stopped in the Bass Pro in Branson. Is the one in springfield tons bigger?
0 Schloogs
Just 2 weeks ago Gander Mt. EP priced matched a lowrance x135 for me on an internet only sale from cabela's, saved me a $100 bucks. The cashier explained to me that this was a new thing, that they never used to do this in the past but now they do, something about new management. Needless to say I was very impressed with GM. 0 GotOne
Since when did Cabelas start to price match?
0 vermilionfox
Sutty,I have not been to the Bass Pro in Branson as I understand it is about 40,000 square feet.I know the one in Springfield is larger than that, I just found that it is 310,000 square feet. I've been there, it's HUGE. It really is like nothing else! It also has a catalog outlet store next to it.The store in St. Charles, MO (closest Bass Pro to me)is 72,000 square feet.Cabelas just opened a 130,000 square foot store in Hazelwood, Mo which is even closer to me. It opened alst Friday (the 13th) I haven't been there yet.
0 Sutty
Dang it I should have made the trip than. I new it was bigger but did not know it was that big. I thought is was kind of funny though that the aquarium in Bass Pro had trout not bass...
0 vermilionfox
Sutty,I'm sure that the aquarium had trout in it because of Lake Taneycomo. Lake Taneycomo is pretty much a trout fishery. Bass Pro's HSOforum says that the Branson is a tribute to the White River, Taneycomo, Bull Shoals, Table Rock etc. Sounds like they are keying in on the trout fisherman. 0 Fish Head
I was in the new Eden Prairie Gander Mtn store for their grand opening event. I have to say that I was very disapointed in the store. I live very close to the Lakeville store so maybe I'm spoiled, but their selection was so limited on so many items!
0 Meat-Run
I just got back from GM during my lunch hour and was looking for a baitcasting reel and all I can say is "what selection". Sorry but I just have to say it. Normally I don't like to criticize about a business but it was not looking good. They seem very competative on the clothing but when it comes to reels, lures, and terminal tackle they fall a little short. Well look at it this way there's always room for growth. 0 bgmny
Gander matched the price on my Aqua view from a Cabelas internet ad. I told them about the ad and they looked it up on the computer right at the customer service desk.
0 Orlip
It would seem that price matching has relaxed quite a bit. It did not work for me but that was over a year ago and have not tried since so I will try again sometime. Maybe with all the competition around now the stores were kinda forced to start being a little more relaxed on this. I do know that when I receive sales offers from cabelas in my email some are for Internet only and some are in store only and some are for both. Go figure. 0 CrawlerKing
Gander in Maple Grove this spring honored the sales price on Rapalas from Fleet Farm and yesterday I brought in the sales flyer from Joe's that I printed off the internet to Cabela's in Rogers and they matched the price on the Berkley crank baits. One thing that I really like about Gander is their return policy on their products. I have two of their guide series rods that have broken while fall trolling on Mille Lacs...I no longer had the receipts for either rod, but they took them back and replaced them at no charge. This kind of customer service certainly makes me want to continue to shop there. Now if they only would restock their fishing supplies after the first two weeks of the season, but that's a whole nother story!!!
