Prepare yourselves for the worst pike picture in this entire thread…I was fishing by myself and went to take a pic with my good camera equipped with a timer only to discover that I left the memory card at home.

35.5” caught in the Chisago area this past Wednesday out of thick vegetation in less than 5 feet of water fishing for bass with a buzzbait. Pulling a good size pike out of that situation was THE last thing I expected but a nice surprise!

No 40" yet, but here was a fish in the mid 30's. Father in Law's was similar. Both caught within 10 minutes of each other.

My son and I went to our secret lake this weekend, caught 26 saturday morning, here's a few pics. Nothing better then enjoyin the outdoors with your kids.Fun day.

Jimmy James do you have any idea why your secret lake is so productive? What kind of lake makes such a great pike fishery like that? I am very interested in the science of MN waters and am trying to figure it all out.

Thanks guys,it was so much fun we're thinking about doing it again this weekend. Early morning grouse followed by mid morning pike.

Stick500, I'm no expert but I'm thinkin lack of fishing pressure has alot to do with it. The lake is small and gets pretty deep. I love the lake , it's like we're on a canadian fly in.

jj, im guessing that was somewhere north of the cities? just asking cuz i sdaw youre from the west metro. i know a handful of lakes like that on da range, but nothing down here!
