Fisherman wounded in combat...

This past Saturday AM my bro-in-law, Sgt. Jeremy Wolfsteller was struck by an insergent bullet while fighting in Iraq. 11 US soldiers died, and 6 others were wounded that day in Tal Afar. After about 9 hours of surgery Jeremy was stabilized enough to transport to Germany where he could be treated better. We're still getting conflicting reports, though we have learned he was struck in the hip shattering it, as well as hitting his spinal cord, puncturing his spleen and lung, and lodging in his arm pit.

At this point we are optomistic that he will survive his injuries, however we don't know if he will be paralyzed or not. They are running further tests today and hopefully will have good news in the near future.

My prayers go out to "Wolfy" that he can once again skate and hold that fishing rod that he's found a new love for. I'll be by your side the whole way bud...after all you are not only my bro, you are one of my best friends!

Best of luck, "Wolfy" gave great service to this wonderful country. It's people like him that let us wake up being free every morning. Thank you for protecting freedom, even though thank you is not enough....

I just want to offer my support with good wishes and prayers for Jeremy and his family. I hope that he fully recovers and that his sacrifice for our freedoms, and the freedom of others, is never taken for granted, and is remembered and appreciated by those of us who are not there, and do not have family and friends serving at this time. God Bless You Jeremy, and Thank You.

Our thoughts and prayers are always with all serving this great country at its time of need. We also hope for a speedy, full recovery to your bro in law.

Let me also offer our prayers and hopes for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately the list keeps getting longer every day.

May God shine down upon your family and Sgt Wolfsteller.
