Trail camera pics. Lets start seeing them.

Maybe. He seems to be a little smaller this year, which doesnt make sense given that his rack is so typical. However, it is close enough that it could be so. On the other hand, it is possible this year's is the younger brother....same genetics would grow similar racks. A great question that you will never get a "for sure" answer.

Yep...I think you have a match...genetics do produce similar racks so it in theory could be a brother, but likely not. I guess the only way to confirm would be to get two giants on Camera at the same time! Now that would be a treat.

Only 2 months and 3 days away until does only weekend. Looking forward to it...

Take care!

5 weeks & roughly 14 hours to bow opener.

I'd say no it isn't the same buck, it's likely related, but I would think that last years rack wouldn't have declined on that deer yet & I'm thinking the brow tines vary enough. I have no idea if I'm right, just what I think. Seems to me like the summer deer's a little younger.

the eyes sure glow the same!!! grin.gif but looking at the shape of the racks if it isn't the same buck you have some nice genetics running around your land!!! Nice pics and trophy deer hope you get him...actually I hope I cross his path first!! wink.gif

put mine out last thursday and thought i would go see how many pics were on it. Get up to it and a doe and 2 fawns are at the salt lick. I watched for a good 10 mins and then they moved on. Walk up thinking that there will be a whole bunch of pics, nope forgot to turn it to on instead of test. Sometimes it is good to be all alone in the woods with no one else to laugh at you.

mdeiley's shooter buck.

Its located just NW of Aitkin Lake.

Take Hwy 65 north past the turn for Aitkin Lake Campground.

Take your first tar road to the west.

Go about 2 miles and there is a dirt road to the north. Go up that for about a half mile and on the west side you will find a camper off in the woods. Park there and go back in about 500 yds. There is a permanent stand just off the old logging road over looking this plot.

Can you say 160+ inch buck in your sights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tongue.gif

biglakebass, you could probably make some money auctioning off the location of that buck!!! Or you could start you very own Katrina Relief fund!

Nice deer mdeiley!! Something to keep you in the stand on a cold, cold November day!

Jeff,

I use the services from Imageshack and don't seem to have any problems posting pictures from there. Do a search on "google" or "yahoo" for Imageshack and you should be in business.

Once the site comes up, hit the BROWSE button and then find your picture depending on where it is on your harddrive. Hit HOST IT and a page of different link of how you'd like to post the picture come up.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
