haha yeah.

I've actually caught two that measured out at 49 and a half. That fish up there and this one.

it was caught last year(figured it was still relevant) on a trip with Tim Anderson who guides out of the Brainerd area.

I'm waiting til I'm absolutely sure a fish is 50 before i go around saying it. I'm still young, it'd be a shame to peak this early.

Hi Everybody

This is Gary from Musky Heaven. One of my lodge customers just sent me this photo of a giant 40-pound Muskie and I thought you would like to see it. It's too bad the whole fish did not make it in the picture. It was 56.5 inches.

Hey Jerkin'm, I have never seen a picture of someone catching a Muskie ice fishing. That is very cool.

it was my 21st birthday yesterday and instead of going out and getting drunk, a friend of mine and I went out and did a little fishing. We fished through a light rain and didn't get a single follow all day. Saw one nice fish cruising the shallows but he was uninterested in anything.

But just a little before 8 I did end up hooking into one and boating him. I even ended up catching it on a lure that my friend had given me for my birthday so that made it even better.

birthday muskie. Not a huge fish, but definitely a pretty one.

i feel like i'm going to be hogging this page but this is the only bragging board i really have, and I take pictures of every fish if I have the opportunity so here's another one.

but i like to tell the story first

I had gone to gander today earlier and picked up a few baits from the clearance bin and this fish came in verrrry hot on a new Super Stalker but didn't bite on the 8. So i switched baits about 5 times and stayed on the spot for about a half an hour until i switched to this squirrely topwater/jerk bait. I'd seen it produce interest as a follow-up bait before so i was feeling good about it. After about 10 casts with this bait, working it really slowly, small jerk after small jerk, this fish just annihilated it. I fought the fish for a little while and I was out alone so i was reaching for the net after i got it under control, and the net ended up brushing my bucket and picking up about 3 lures in the process. long story short i ended up just gill-landing the fish and laying it on my lap to get the hooks out. As all this was going on a guy i've seen and talked to on the river a few times rolled up and offered to take the pictures for me.
