Wrong! No big deal but probably a 2 year old. Don't compare yours to theirs!  Here is a good sized male!

Our bear camp policy was , if the ears stick out past the shoulders it was under 250 lbs. & not worth taking.

If the ears look big.... it's a small bear.  If the ears look small...it's a big bear.

Ted is dead and the names of the bears that are there now are Lucky, Holly, and Tasha. The last two bear pictures I posted on here were from the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary near Orr. I was there last Tuesday.

I keep forgetting to get over to the Vince Shute when up in the area. I guess they said old Ted at one time was the biggest black bear in captivity in the US.

We camped up there in August.  Only fished kab & Rainy tho.

Nothing really pic worthy, a nice smallie (4+) popped free boatside.

First time there, so kinda just trolled around checking other campsites out with a couple large crankbaits. (Saltwater 30' X-Rap & 25' Husky Jerk)  Big lake, big fish potential.

A few pike from 4 lb to 9 lb. 

The old lady is into trolling and bobber fishing. So we didn't take fishing all that seriously.

I did a little topwater fishing in the mornings.

Next time I will bring bait and also put a little more time on the water.

Maybe even fish for walleye?

We were at voyageur Narrows. 

It's a really nice site and big enough dock for my boat and a pontoon. Close to the portage too.
