It's a lot better in the cities than yesterday.  Yesterday was terrible.

Ok I meant the northern breeze but we did have a southern breeze up here today which is probably why we had clear skies. Sorry for the confusion.

The smoke will be in and out until at least Tuesday. Yesterday it smelled like the fire was down the road, not in another country.

Coming into Ely tonight on 169 - where the new part is highest above the old part - I was pretty sure I was seeing a smoke filled valley.  And as we’re getting settled in around 11 we were seeing it in our lights.

 

Maybe just depends on certain conditions? We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

 

Anoka was bad and smelled like smoke Thursday afternoon.

 

Oops, almost forgot to throw a pic in.  We had our own private air show today at home.  The jets made 3 loops before bugging out.

You left already! I was hoping you take these 4 with you or at least drop them off at the bear center for me on your way out of town. Oh well, at least they left without doing any damage.  Can we say the same about you Wanderer?

  I woulda stopped by to see those but prolly not taken them with!

 

The only damage I was responsible for was dropping a couple trees on my property - worried about potential storm damage - and poking holes in some fishes mouths.  They’re all still swimming though so I’m thinking they’re over it by now.

No, different buddy.  But NG does have a pretty awesome one on order right now.

 

I believe the one in the pic is a War Eagle.  It’s so built up it’s hard to tell anymore. NG is getting an Excel center console.  Both with new 40hp surface drives.

 

But until those motors are done and shipped, gotta spend time getting the pintails grassed in.
