Cardinals

Yesterday was a sure welcoming sign of spring with cardinals singing again and becoming territorial .

A male cardinal was working most of the day trying

to chase others away! Fun to watch!

I have been trying for years. they are one jumpy birds.

Get a good camera put it on a tripod and just shoot a bunch of pictures, bursts even.    Bits are free.    Shoot a thousand pictures if you need to.

Guys, do the modern DSLR cameras have a remote control function so a guy could sit inside and look out the window and trigger the camera sitting outside?

Mine is solidly an amateur Nikon DSLR and it has a remote available.  Pretty cheap too.  I have seen third party remotes for like $15.

So, that's the solution.   Camera on tripod aimed at feeder, sit by window at dusk, sip a beer and keep clicking the remote...?

Any DSLR should have some type of remote capabilities. With my DSLR I can focus, set the aperture and shutter speed,  hit the shutter and see the results from my cell phone. A very handy tool
