Bear55
Ha ha what an AWESOME third, even Veilleux score with all 6 Dallas players watching him. Put a nail in their coffin they are done for this year. Currently 7th in the west with games in hand on San Jose and Winnipeg, love it. Bear55
Did you guys see Granlund from his knees last night.
bbfenatic
Wild have a great opportunity to move up further and get some cushion with 4 softies in next 7....then it gets tough...but the way they have been playing there really is no one they cannot beat IMO. BartmanMN
Wow, I missed that from the knees. Cool little video
CaptainMusky
Heck with catching Winnipeg, lets catch the Hawks! Only 6 pts back with a game in hand. Based on how they are playing lately anything is possible. That play by Granlund was just plain sick. I didn't even see it the first time, but when they showed the replay I was blown away. icehole10
Definitely a lot more fun to watch than they were a month ago!! Its amazing how much more speed they are playing with.
OnAFly
The only concern I have with this team is that they always beat the teams they are supposed to but rarely the top end teams. We still have like 6 games against Nashville and STL. How we fare in those games will be more telling than beating teams like VAN, EDM, and DAL (on a back to back). Even beating CAL is not that great an accomplishment, IMO. They are not as good as their record. That said, Granlund's knee hockey was awesome. Seeing Folin and Dumba progress really gives me hope for our D depth and Dubbie has been the solid NHL level goalie we needed from day 1 of this season. bobberineyes
You sure can tell Granlund has played a little basement hockey with that play.lol. Sounds like Yeo wants to get kemps it at some time, he needs to get some ice time but he better keep him on a short leash.
fishing tech
Don't get me wrong, but the Wild are winning games against teams that are not playing them physical. They can skate with just about any team. When the other team plays physical that is when they have trouble. Especially when the refs let the extra dump go on. I hope they keep rolling. Ever since we lost Zucker I haven't been that convinced. We'll definately learn what they're made of starting March 13th, from there on the schedule is TOUGH. bbfenatic
Would like to see them play Kemps tonight...or against some other poor teams coming up soon...not so much that Dubs needs the rest but we have to make sure Kemps is game ready. All it takes is a pulled muscle or for Dubs to tweak something and if Kemps goes in cold and get shelled we would be in a big hurtbag IMO .... we know Kemps is a little bit of a headcase to begin with. CaptainMusky
I am in agreement of getting Kuemper in there for all the same reasons.I am a Stars fan tonight. With a Stars loss and Wild win we are tied with the Jets!!!

10,000 Casts
Man that is a tough one, sure why not... get Kuemper some playing time. He'll prolly have to play the Hurricanes on the 2nd nt of a back to back next week anyway. wow this is awesome seeing them back in the hunt but I still think the playoffs are a lot to ask with as strong as the west is and the fact that we don't exactly play playoff style hockey. It's going to be close!
bbfenatic
NYI Locks up Leddy with big deal $38.5M for 7 yrs. Good thing they are moving down into the city next year...I know from personal knowledge he is not that happy living up on the Island...don't blame him, not the best place to be for a single guy...he'll love the city...but who wouldn't! Congrats Nick!!!
PierBridge
Now maybe the Isle could maybe help us out a little instead getting smoked at home by teams we need to lose.I get the east is as week as its ever been but you would think the Rangers and Isle could win a home game on occasion when we need it. Isles are only 11-9-0 against the West and Rangers only 11-3-5 against the West Todays's Top 16 West/East: Nashville/Montreal, Anaheim/NYI, StL/TB, Chi/NYR, Vancouver/Det, Winnipeg/Pittsburgh, MN/Wash, LAKINGS/Boston IMO the East is not as weak as you think Pier; those matchups above would make for some great games and IMO any one of those top 16 today could win the Cup...gonna be fun down the stretch! PierBridge
My main point was you would think the isle and rangers who are allegedly 2 of the better teams in the east would not get their butts handed to them on their home rinks by a 7th place team traveling from 3 time zones Away...lol. And this point I cant imagine any team from the east has a chance at winning the cup. Pittsburgh maybe and I guess the Lighting would be a possibility. Of course there is always a chance sadly the east will have 1 of there teams in the final. With puck luck and peaking at the right time along with a hot goaltender it could happen. Other than that its highly likely the west will win its 4th straight and 5th out of the last 6 Stanley Cups. Id prefer the top 16 and a semi balanced schedule but those days of doing it totally fair are long gone im afraid. The west is just that much better particularly at the top. I'm not sure more than 1 team from the east would even make the playoffs if they played in the west. IMO of course....

I realize this is your opinion but you can't be serious can you? I like the West chances better as well but come on....make the playoffs? That might be the most ludicrous statement I've seen posted in the entire forum....including sillytown....IMO of course.
PierBridge
2 max and im pretty sure you had the Preposterous statement locked up like 2 months ago. BB.. imo... Once again we'll have to agree to disagree on this!
bbfenatic
Yup....and we'll see how things play out....and I'm still laughing at your statement that only 1 team from the East would make the playoffs if they all played in the same conference....holy cow that is fuuunnnnyyyyy! You come up with some real doosies every now and then but this takes the cake up to this point...what else you got for us? bbfenatic
Sean Bergenheim..we got him...another Fin...for a 3rd rounder in 2016.
fishing tech
Well, I put that game on Vanek. How many times does he have to pass up a shot from the slot before Yoe lights him up? He is a goal scorer and he is trying to be a total playmaker.
lawdog
I realize you can't win all the games in a long season, but you can't miss opportunities for points against a last place team when trying to make a playoff push. You have to win the games you are supposed to win and pick off some toss ups and games you are supposed to lose or you aren't going to gain enough ground to get in!
