Out of all the stuff I buy , I think doe [PoorWordUsage] is not worth a dollar ! One time I think a little buck came in but seen many not care or leave fast ! I have called alot in in the past few years and I think I would spend my money on call before scents ....

A cheap bottle is 3$, if it ever brings in a deer it is worth it. I have one on the wall that came right into my rag, calls are for sure more effective. Scent is not going to cost you too much money.

I one time put a bottle of golden estrus 10 yards away from my stand. A 6 pointer kicked it over with his hoof, sniffed it for a milisecond, and then continued on. On the other hand i put a bottle of tinks in the field once and forgot it over night. The next afternoon there was a 6' diameter scrape there and the bottle was pounded into the ground. That afternoon 4 bucks checked the scrape.

It has its time and place. I have had one really nice buck come in on it once and now he is on the wall. Also have had some pass right buy with out sniffin it.

So i think its worth it for a few bucks.

I think it makes us feel more confident than it works, I spend 35-50$ (a year on frozen fresh scent, and store baught cheaper stuff) a year I think one year I had a buck sniff it on a camera. My buddy pees off stand hardly goes scent free we hunt together on opposite sides of 80 acres he got 10pts two years in a row my dad smokes on stand he got one year before...I'm out putting out scent, performing drags, mock scrapes etc super scent free...Its been four years since I got nice buck. We share and trade off stands both stands been equally good..my point is I think stuff is overrated wind and luck of being in right place is more important. I'm not wasting $ or time next year.

I have a buddy that swears by the buck bomb estrus scent can where u can use all at once or spray burts in to the air. ive tried it an watched the mist go into the air the same direction my scent was going, Duuhh. I think if U douse your boots with it before walking to stand can lead deer ur way but air borne scent certainly dosent work for me.

I use fresh Estrous every year and have bucks following my scent line like a dog looking for a bird in the field. It's unreal when you get to see it work. I do not buy anything frozen or old off the store shelf. There are places you can get fresh filter Estrous right into the bottle.

The only time I know it's bad with younger does come in they turn and split once they smell it. I only think that's because it's out of older deer. I have had the old big does come in and start looking all around for this the one that left the scent following like a buck and stomping at times like she wants to kick a---. Like Tracker said above it will have it's time and place. Stay away from the frozen or shelf scents .More times had bad luck then with fresh.

I used the better fresh stuff a few times and the jury is still out on how well it worked. I believe there may be a time for it but I have not used it for years and still get my deer every season.

heck of a marketing job by those companies as I am sure they sell millions of dollars worth of the stuff.

My mistake I don't get frozen I ordered over internet comes cold with frozen packs around it to keep it cool. It is suppose to be days old, and fresh. Those of you that have good success what and where you getting it how much and often do you use it and when and how. I have used a lot over the years with little success I hunt private land not much pressure way up north and can say stuff doesn't work well for me, wondering what I may be doing wrong?

Look when we try to use it the most, during the rut when bucks get to roam each night finding the real deal Holyfield. I think on occassion it may work but I can't say with everyone I know they've ever said yea that golden estrus had a part in me getting him, 30 years and o fer on the doe scent or whatever.

All my scents and scent free stuff went into the garbage, hasn't affected my hunting at all. In fact it has probably gotten better the last few years. I put a lot more thought into where the deer are and where my scent is blowing and save a ton of $$$ in the process. Of course I still spend those $$$ on other hunting gear but that is ok.

5 straight years I've had bucks hit up my mock scrapes. Two of which were wall mounters. Cost %19.99 initaially and $9 a year after that. best money ever spent. Great during the rut.

Right place at the right time also helps.

i start mock scrapes every year by peeing in them. doesn't cost anything.

I've shot many deer off scent lines. Also just a blast watching these bucks come in and dog your scent line like they are kicking up a pheasant. It does not cost that much money at all and it's once a year I pick up the scent.

Mock scrapes work well and scent lines. Again you do need the deer to be around the area once they find it ,it's all over. The buck I shot this year was leaving me heading out toward how I entered the woods. Hit my scent line 150 yards away and turned on a dime right back to my scent wick in the tree 20yds away.

Also works as a cover scent even if you don't shoot the deer off the scent helps with your scent.

I just don't by the scent that has been on the shelf for the year. Get as fresh as you can get you will see the difference. I pick some up from a guy in East Bethal.Whitetail country scent. He only bottles once they are in Estrous. They they are delivered to the stores or you can pick up right at his house.

Nothing frozen or from last year.

Never used. Just got back from wisconsin opener and for the 3rd year in a row shot a decent buck(6) with a cigarette hangin out of my mouth and the wind blowing in the direction he came from. He came within 20ft of the stand and had no idea I was even there. I am not saying it doesn't work or it's a waste of $$$ just not for me.
