Got word from north of Brainerd that one of the small lakes up there was frozen over already.

The lake I live on froze over completely last night, but looks like we could see 40's by the middle of the week. Just be patient and be safe everyone.

a buddy of mine was out spearing on 3" today. small lake in grand rapids area. stuck 2 5lb'ers.

Spearing and first ice have alot common. It just takes time to happen, and now is the time.

Going out tomorrow if the wind dont blow me away found a good spot 2day have to walk a ways but should be worth it
