pike doctor
Its gonna be the NFC north fighting it out to go to the Superbowl. I picked Packers to beat Da Bears when the playoffs started and I am sticking with it. I really admire the Packers for knocking of two teams that I really hate.Amazing what a QB can do when he gets protection.

greebs
wasn't surprised with the packers winning but sure was surprised in the score. their running game has picked up and that really makes their offense dangerous. it's easy to see why the packers decided they had enough of favre's waffling with retirement a few years ago. hawgchaser
Sweet. Rodgers was on fire. Only 11 more years and the vikes will be able to lure him away to viking land.
goblueM
makes you wonder why people were ever down on rodgers. he's been nothing short of spectacular for the Pack ever since starting
Steve Foss
Well, Rodgers has been limited by the effectiveness of those around him from time to time, but gol dang if he hasn't dominated of late. Packers fans are loving the fact that the organization has brought in and developed two elite quarterbacks in a row. QB is a sticking point for many, many teams who have a lot of talent in other positions but can't quite manage to get it done. I was particularly impressed with how calm and confident Rodgers was last night. Doofus fumble led to a bird score, Rodgers led the team downfield to score in a long drive to tie. Doofus blocking on kickoff led to another instant bird score, Rodgers led the team downfield to score in a long drive to tie. Like he was just out for a walk in the park. And then he just kept going. Ability is only part of the equation at QB. Rodgers is showing he has all those other characteristics needed to be called "elite." I probably shouldn't use that word to describe him because he hasn't led a team to a Super Bowl win. Yet. Running game when it was needed didn't hurt a bit, either. I think we'll see today whether Chicago is really a threat for the Super Bowl. With the schedule they've had, it's been pretty attractive to say they don't have what it takes to even get to the NFC champ game. I would not be surprised if the Seahawks win. In fact, I wouldn't mind that at all. That'd give the Pack a third bird team in a row ripe for the plucking. But yeah, I'd like to see a good old fashioned hammer and tongs fight at Soldier Field for the NFC title between LONGTIME division rivals. The Pack/Bears are one of the oldest division rivalries in the NFL. The oldest? Dunno. I think you've gotta give a bunch of kudos to Thompson and McCarthy et al, too. With 14 players on IR this season, many of them key players, the depth of the team was what allowed them to succeed even though they had a tough schedule. I can't recall whether it was Buck or Aikman who said it last night, but one of them said McCarthy was his pick for coach of the year because of what he's been able to do with what he had. If the Pack win the NFC championship, I reckon he's a shoo-in. That many injuries also present a lot of players who would normally be sitting on the bench or playing a few downs to show their abilities in game situations, and some of them have really shone. So when everyone gets healthy, you've got a ton of experience throughout the roster. Even Bulaga did a good job protecting Rodgers, and didn't get a single holding penalty the whole game. He had me about pulling my hair out against the Eagles. Last nights plucking in Bird City I'm sure was a tremendous confidence builder after the dogfights the Pack has had the last few games. They still gotta win the NFC championship, but I think they've shown the football world that they are the team most likely to win it, no matter who wins today. Hey, Pack haters, take heart. Not EVERY team you hate can lose all the time. OK, OK, maybe it WASN'T "nuff said."
gregg52
took him a yr or 2 but he's good and will be for some time to come barring any bad injury i hope the vikings can find along term guy like that
PurpleFloyd
The packers will win the Super Bowl. There is no team in the league playing at their level and their coach has just joined the ranks of the elite.
goblueM
took him a yr or 2 but he's good and will be for some time to come barring any bad injury i hope the vikings can find along term guy like that thats exactly what I was referring to... it didn't take him a year or two (unless you're talking about while he was sitting behind Favre)in his first year he threw for more than 4,000 yards, 28 TDs, and had a rating of 93.8 - almost an exact carbon copy of Peyton Manning that year, who had 36 less yards, one less touchdown and one less int. IN fact, Rodgers career passer rating is better than Manning'sRodgers has torn it up since Day 1 as a starter
creepworm
It is amazing with all those injuries. It just seems to be "next man up" and they do at worst an adequate job.
waterwolff
Even though I am a die hard Vikings fan you gotta love the Pack's performance. Way to go. Now if Chicago can get by Seattle it will set up for a really big show!!!!!!. I really hope to see the Pack go all the way and pick up another Super bowl win go Pack. To be clear, my comments about Rodgers and his play were given in the overall context of how well the team has done since he's been starting. As an individual at QB, he is outstanding. Keep going Pack!!!!
nonteepical
there's peaks and valleys in every season, and the pack were coming out ot their valley the last game of the season beating chicago and you could sense "oh boy look out". thats why i picked them in my board to win the super bowl, against the patriots, who have'nt hit a valley yet and will squeak their way in to the big game and losing 34-24 to the green bay rodgers. Coach Dog
Rodgers was an absolute stud last night. He completely picked apart Atlanta. Ryan's pick-6 (I actuallly hate the term "pick-6") throw gave all the momentum to Green Bay. I predict they'll blow the bears out next week. GatorBait
What a game huh? I was just amazed at rodgers non pro bowl voted performance. Matty boy looked like a 3rd string. We definately went down there and showed everyone who the premiere team is right now in the NFC. Bring on the bears....Not very concerned about them. Steve Foss
Bring on the bears....Not very concerned about them. I'm concerned about them. They are playing well today. These teams always get up for each other, and with the NFC championship on the line, I worry. No matter how well the Pack played yesterday, well, you know how it can go . . . FISHINGURU
NFC North is the best in Football now. Everyone will just love the NFC North next season.
GatorBait
They played well today but the hawks played like their record shows. Ungodly amount of dropped passes cost them 3/4 of their drives...That and they weren't able to get to cutler like they did earlier in the year. It'll be a great game, but we have the momentum going into the big game which is a plus for us. I see Dallas in the future unless our bus crashes...
