Now it sounds to me like everyone else got skunked. If that is indeed the case, you all should have paid up quickly and kept this as quiet as possible so that it was quickly forgotten. The man is definitely owed $3, and because of your pouting and moaning he is also afforded a lifetime of bringing up how sore of a loser you all are after putting a doughnut on the scoreboard.

Here’s how I’d argue it if it were me that caught that fish. I caught the biggest, I caught the first, I caught the most, I caught the last, I caught the smallest, and I caught the least therefore, $1+$1+$1+$1+$1+$1 = $6. Lucky I’m not him, eh?

You all awe him $3 each. Pay up and make him buy the beer.

You're a big boy now: Put on your Man pants, open up your wallet, and pay the man what he has won fairly. If you are seriously complaining about having to pay up on a 3) 1$ bets that you lost, prepare to not get invited to go again.

Things you can buy with $3:

a couple of pannie jigs

1) cocktail in an outstate bar (1/3 of the same cocktail in the metro)

a couple decks of cards

1) six pack of natural light

a couple of fast food cheeseburgers

1/2 of a chubby darter

1) 1 lb LP tank

1) "I'm Sorry, Can You Forgive Me?" card from a drug store

some waxies

a scoop of crappie minnows

1) gallon of gas

the worst lap dance of your life

You obviously have more on the line than $3. You must have just said that for the site thread. I dont see the controversy in this. There should not be any. If he caught 1 fish and you caught 0......that tells me he has the most because 1 is more than 0. You just like to argue or what guy????

no controversy. pay him the $3 bucks. first biggest and most. your probably a nice guy but i guess if i was one of the guys fishing with you i would probably let this episode go, but for three bucks it's not worth hurting a relationship with your buddies. good luck.

FWIW, arguing over who owes whom what with fishing bets can be as much fun as fishing. All part of the scene. smile

You know, Ron, in cribbage a skunk counts for two games. Since no one else caught anything, does everyone owe twice the bet? Are you all in for $6 to the guy? grin

I agree with the others that said that 1>0. You caught the first, the most, AND the biggest if you caught the onliest.
