Got back a tackle box from 20 FOW!

So Saturday I was fishing in a permanent and as I was packing up my jigging spoon box with about 30 Northland spoons popped out of my bag and slid down the hole!

Went back the next morning with camera and located it about ten feet out the side of the house.

after about 10 holes I landed the camera on top of it!

Dropped down a heavy duty magnet and was able to "move" the box but not lift it.

I had a Northland puppet minnow tied on and dropped it down after a couple spins I snagged the lip on the box and got my buckshot spoons back!

I count 35 spoons and thats just what I can see. Now, at 3 bucks a peice, thats 105.00 bucks, thats the best catch in the lake right there.

I agree with putting the gear in a bigger box.... It looked a little tight anyway! Plus it looked like the hinge was broke on one side in the picture...

Well it took me a while to realize the magnet just wouldnt grab through the box, I dropped the puppet minnow down and after two swims out and about it fell next to the box, back hook slid under the lip and held, not much of a fight I took it slow and easy, made a big grab when it hit the hole though! Very happy to have gotten it back.

And yes the box was a little stuffed, Will break it down to a couple just in case I get clumsy again.

I wouldn't put it in two boxes I would put it in a large plano box that can't go down the hole. I don't have a camera, and last year i dropped a rose creek fly box down the whole that was stuffed to the gills with tiny jigs. A great deal of them were the wolfram tungsten jigs. Now all my tackle is in a 3700 plano tackle box.

wow!! The other day my buddy and I were fishing suager in 40 fow with jiggin raps, and he broke off and I actually snagged his line while it was falling and save 1 jiggin rap and we were proud, Way to not give up and actually chase down your stuff.

Out on Mille Lacs a week ago we saw our buddy suddenly dive onto the floor. He came up soaking wet and when we asked him what happened he told us that he dropped his phone. He somehow managed to get it mid fall in the water. He was lucky.

Our neighbors were over with a peace offering (read: bottle of makers mark whiskey) and they just couldn't get over it.

You are lucky for being able to get ahold of that tackle box. Now I know what to buy next time I'm at fleet farm ;-)
