Outfitter17
What a terrible game, fire childress and let Frazier finish the season out. Can it get any worse?
Jack Peterson
Yeah, it can get worse. Put Tjack in...that would be worse.

PurpleFloyd
What a terrible game, fire childress and let Frazier finish the season out. Can it get any worse? You are right about Childress but what has frazier done to earn a chance? His defense looks like crappola.
Shack
Yeah, it can get worse. Put Tjack in...that would be worse. Yeah, he got a touch down the other week when put in. It could be worse. We might just win and start winning and that would be worse for T-Jack haters.
croixflats
Nope, cant get any worse. If anything the players may have more confidence in Frasier in the knowing Ziggy actually wants to improve the team. Its looks like the players have no confidence in Child.I understand a player has a job to do and should do it to the best of his ability but when you have manager that's a complete moron when it comes to his position it does not instill confidence or the need to do better than the average worker. fishersofmen
Frazier can't even inspire his D-line to play let alone the entire team. Wonder what flavor coffee Cutler was drinking while he was back in the pocket...

greebs
Agree that chilly has lost this team and will be replaced. Not sure though if you are doing yourself a favor by giving the job to frazier now though and not using the offseason to do a full search for hopefully the right guy, who might be somebody other than frazier.you can't put this entire seasons failures on him though. the defense has done nothing this year for putting pressure on opposing qb's. favre is one of the lowest rated qb's in the league. there's been a few key injuries this season that were avoided last year. by and large though, this is mostly the same group of players that excelled last year except for their ability to win on the road which of course they've continued that trend this year. last year's schedule was a cupcake compared to this season too so there's no denying that played a part in their success last year(unless of course you think that chilly was a genius last year with his coaching) still think that the loss of respect from the players all started with his handling of favre the last couple training camps. think had he been firm and not gave him the special treatment that we very well may not be having this conversation today and this was the beginning of the end. pike doctor
IF you dont fire Childress, and public opinion already has, Ziggy will NEVER get his stadium and this is what its all about (Ziggytown). He is an [PoorWordUsage] for not listening to the will of the people. Keeping him around any longer than tomorrow afternoon will seal the fate on any stadium deal in the legislature for this year. Frazier is just a band-aid to stop the bleeding, if we go on a winning rampage with him then he'd earn the right to be the coach. If not much changes it just makes it easier to go with an all new staff next season.Cover 2 is horrid these days, there's so many holes in the zones, and you only bring pressure with the front four..YAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWN.New staff, new QB, new stadium, lets rock. We have plenty of talent that will be left on the team to compete. We can't get any worse.
Antero
Face it. He probably will not get fired. The Vikes owe him millions, Ziggy is a businessman and he will not give up that cash easily.
CigarGuy
How about, FIRE THE EQUIPMENT MANAGER!!! Hey, I went to high school with him (year younger), he is a great guy! The guy's need to put longer cleats on when they can't keep upright!
Inthehollow
I do not know if Frazier is the answer but it would keep the team togeather I do not know who is up for free agent next year but the genious is not going to keep the team to geather atleast a move to let frazier try would show they are trying and not giving up and try to bring in some one for next season the only good thing he has done was getting his contract resighned a year early that is what bites the most
cbrooks
I would rather see anybody else coaching this team including Dennis Green. At this point I would find it hard to believe that Childress will be with the Vikes next year. So atleast we have that going for us and a good draft pick unless Brad does another trade sometime in the future.
Outfitter17
Put Frazier in as a temp head coach, just like Jerry Jones did for dallas. If he sparks the team and they do well in the last 7 games - then give him the job, if they implode futher - Then bring in a new coach with a whole new coaching staff.Dallas look like a whole new team today and they are 1-0 under Garett. zamboni
Face it. He probably will not get fired. The Vikes owe him millions, Ziggy is a businessman and he will not give up that cash easily. Zygi paid Rosenfels $1.5 mil to hold a clipboard, so spending money isn't a problem with Wilf. Chilly is guaranteed $3 mill a year for 3 more. His other money is incentive based, which he won't get if fired. $9 mill to get rid of him- Zygi IS a business man and he knows that $9 million is well spent from a business stand point if he gets rid of him. Good business people know when cutting ties makes sense financially, and firing Childress would be a great decision
MinnesnowtaWild
Vikings fans are like a broken record.Seriously, how many times do the Vikings have to lose this year to just let it go that the season is beyond fixing? You guys act like there is still a chance if we get a new coach. I dread every Sunday just because I am so sick of listening to Vikings fans whine about coach x or player y or whatever.Just had to get that out of my system. I hate pro football. JBMasterAngler
ESPN just reported that ziggy has no plans of firing childress. Now of course that doesn't really mean anything, because he could very well be fired by the time I push the submit button on this post
creepworm
I think Childress will get fired but not til the season is over. Ziggy saying that he has no plans of firing Childress is unbelievable to me, when player say they hate their coach and do not want to play for him makes it all but certain childress will be gone. machohorn
As much as I say fire chilly, it will do no good to give Leslie F. the reigns with chilly's system in place, Fire chilly, let fraiser finish out and do not base his coaching on the results for this year. Let him start all over after this year pick his coach's and put his own system in place. You cannot let Frasier coach and change game plans at this point in the year, little changes yes but not wholesale changes which they need, And FIRE CHILLY! DTro
This guy makes Mike Tice look like a genious. What happens when something isn't working? You make a change. Can anyone name 1 thing that has changed in their system this year? Have we done anything th mix it up a bit? Fake FG? Fake punt? Onside Kick? Growing a mullet? The is a boring team with even a more boring coach. Winning cures everything, but with every addition to the loss column this year, the truth becomes more transparent. This is just a BAD system.
