Anyone Else Daydreaming?

On the way to school with my 2 oldest kids saw a doe with a nice buck chasing right behind her. Since then all I do is think about Saturday and the opener! Good luck to those going out I hope I can make it through Friday with this buck fever I have!

I was daydreaming hoping for some cold weather, snow, weather changes for rifle season this year and then my sister sends me a picture of the nice buck her husband got last night by bow, 1 less hog in Douglas county. The worst part about opener is how fast it goes by, anyone having this thought, it sure will be weird to have shoot time at 7:36 AM or whatever it is and then 6:33 PM on opener, what happened to daylight savings ? My clocks all switched last Sunday AM at 2:00 except cell phone clock needless to say I was up an hour before I wanted to be for goose hunting.

I can hardly work this week! The only downer is that it is supposed to be in the 50's this Saturday! WE NEED COLD!!!! Of course, it will make for a nice all day sit Saturday!

Long range forecast for the second weekend is looking more promising. Some snow and cooler temps possible anyway. I can't wait for this weekend regardless the weather. Think I might need a 12 step program for trail cameras. Cant stop looking at the pictures!

i will be hunting off county 4 north of duluth about 50 miles. we are all excited but have some concern about any wind damage to our stands. so friday will be a check and repair day if needed. did any of the snow you had during the storm stay at all or melt? thanks good luck.
