Viking's/Jet's Monday Game- Favre, Moss & AP

LMMFAO, What is Toby doing on the field instead of AP when the game was on the line? I like how we get AP going and all of a sudden it opens up the passing game but then we get into thinking we need to pass every play again and don't use AP anymore...good grief

Thats called Chilly the great coaching.

Chilly has to go!

You have Dungy, Cowher, Chuckie(Gruden) all sitting there and want to be coaches again, but waiting for the right oppurtunity.

Dah, get it done, 1-3 teams don't win the Superbowl, atleast not that much.

I have no actual facts.

I'm tuning into Vikings Wine Line to count how many people call for Chilly's head and want Favre to retire grin

Night games are always the best....the callers are always well "primed". grin

Late game + vikings loss = comedy gold!

No coach is good enough for the Vikes. Heck LIMIT could coach the Vikes and still fail. laugh

I know LIMIT had the purple lingerie on tonight. He skipped finding the jerseys and slipped into something purplie comfortable. wink

Ahhhh, I gave up on calling for any change(s) to anything Vikes years ago. Just living the Vikings dream and reality, year after year. I find it fun though, being a Minnesotan and all. grin

Go Vikes!

Toby was in there because AP wasn't picking up the blitz and Favre didn't have any time. I guess it didn't matter though because he couldn't even hit a wide open guy there at the end.

I heard a good one this morning.

"Jersey Snore" grin

That's what I was doing too....snoring. 4 games and I've fell asleep at one point or another for every single game. Their offense is putrid.

At least there was life in the 4th quarter. Maybe they can get on a roll now if Favre gets in sync with his recievers. He (Favre) was aweful tonight, but even an aweful Favre and the defense put us in position to win. I know our defense is good, but when are we ever going to pressure the quarter back. I know our front 4 are some of the best in the leage, but can we get some blitzes in that don't come from directly over the center, which is the easiest pick up for the running back.

I've never been a big Frazier fan. He does have good defenses every year, but it is so boring to watch. None the less, it does seem to get the job done. It has been holding teams to enough points to always give the offense the chance to win. It seems like the whole goal of the defense is to stop the run and not pressure the quarterback.

Did we completely forget about last years game plan with Favre? All he had to do was dink and dunk his way down the field. Hit the slants, play it safe, and move the chains. Most of all, don't lose the game for us. We seem to be completely void of that thinking now. Its either run AP or try and throw a risky pass down the field. I don't see any resemblance of last years game plan that actually worked pretty well. Anybody else noticing this?

The tale of two halves for sure. The Defense did a heck of a job though, I like what I seen. Favre just wasn't there at the end, when we needed him. I hope is arm is ok! Off to Dallas next week to put a nail in their coffin.....hopefully.

i dont think the jets quarterback had a good night eighther. i think the defense played well for as long they had to be out there. something was up with farves elbow the last quarter. at least it was more noticable at that time. i cant remember a game being delayed by weather in football. i still think we will get to the playoffs. moss is still unfamiliar with the playcalling and his performance will improve once he does that. good luck.

We need to win the next two games, get back to .500. The bears are not that good, our only chance right now is probably winning the NFC North. The good thing is that we still play the bears 2x and the packers 2x. They will be huge games, if we drop any of those 4 games, we are probably all done.

Did it drive anyone crazy Chilly had to burn a timeout because he couldn't decide if he should go for two/extra point? What a wasted timeout. I don't have much hair, but by end of the season I may not have anything left because of Chilly. What is going on with offensive line coach? Can't he get those big boys to improve?

had it not taken the offense 2 1/2 quarters to get in sync, this game was there for the vikes to win. it could have been much worse had the jets receivers and defensive backs caught some of those 1st half passes that hit them in the hands but then again had favre been accurate in the 2nd half they easily could have stole this game.

I'll ask it again. Why is jared allen such a force at home and pretty much be a non factor on road games?

My thoughts exactly, Jarred who? He has been quiet, but he still demands attention. One thing I've noticed is that he is best at an outside pass rush, but when he takes the outside pass rush, they run underneath. It seems like now he penetrates a couple yards and then waits. Part of this might be the fact that Ben Leber is one of the most overrated linebackers in the game. LT made him look stupid last night. Allen took an ouside pass rush, LT ran underneath, and LT shook Leber completely out of his shoes. I have nothing personal against Leber and actually think he is a pretty decent individual, but man, he misses alot of one on one tackles, unlike Greenway, who is a stud.

Jared Allen, check out his sack totals from last year, huge against green bay, very marginal the rest of the year. We have lots of issues and our schedule is not easy, my 7-9 prediction for the year seems about right, but the NFC north is wide open heck Cutler and Rodgers neither might play this week, I'd love and laugh to see Detroit make a push, got as many wins as us.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
