Does anyone know the app for an android(think it is an app) that does voice command calling, texting, ect....lost the icon for it after the new update.

Hold down the magnifying glass on the soft keys for a few seconds and it should do what you need.

Alarm Clock Plus

I know it sounds a bit generic, but I downloaded this alarm clock over the stock one.

2 of the main reasons for me are 1)I have it set to day the time every hour, on the hour. I listen to my phone for music all day, with no clock so it's nice to have the hourly times lightly spoken through the headphones while.mowing.

The second is you can set a "nap" widget. Two key presses and the alarm will automatically set for a predetermined amount of time. I see this handy next winter when I plow, or you could use it as a regular timer as well.

Also, when you set the alarm for.the morning, it will speak the time if you'd like right before the alarm.goes off. You can also have it speak the weather.

Lastly, for the snooze option, you can set it so you have to do a math problem (random) for those that may have a hard time awaking in the morning.

We bought one of the Entertainment discount books online and they have a free app that shows deals by location too. Makes it handy to see if there are any discounts on food in the area you are in. We were at a favorite restraunt in Shakopee and the app showed a discount there.

Just got my new Android phone (Droid3). Love it so far. I have downloaded a few choice apps, including Cribbage Pro and ScanLife (I wanted one of the code scanner apps). Not much else in addition to getting my e-mail and Facebook accounts set up on the Droid.

Though I did come across a cool app called "Out of Milk". It is a very cool shopping list/inventory type of app. I have enjoyed this thread so far...very helpful info. I still need to choose the weather app that I want to use...

Just bookmark the weather.gov HSOforum to your home screen. You can then also bookmark the links to the radar to the home screen as well. No need for a weather app.

Not sure when Weather Underground released their app but my dad found it the other day and so I tried it out as well. Seems pretty decent so far but would like to see how the radar looks. I've been using Rainy Days for radar.

Otherwise I've been doing what Lawn suggested.

Edit: looks like the WU app just came out on the 20th.

I've only looked at the last few pages so forgive me if these have already been mentioned.

Foobar Remote. If you use Foobar on your PC as a music server then you can use this app to control Foobar. I'm surprised they haven't added streaming to it. It only works from home via wifi as a remote control but it's sweet.

AudioGalaxy. It's a music streamer from your home PC. No cloud uploads needed. The downside is I'd really like to know what compression ratio it is using on the mp3.

Dolphin HD. A browser that works a lot better than the stock web browser on the Razr.

I recently found 8Tracks. It's not just an app, it's based off its HSOforum. It's a music streaming program, but instead of giving it an artist or genre like Pandora or Slacker that chooses the music for you, there are thousands of mixes created by users to choose from. I have found so many artists/bands/songs I had never heard of. Tons of great music to choose from. If you're an indie or non-mainstream music fan you will love 8Tracks, but there is also tons of mainstream stuff also.

Myfitnesspal is a great app. You enter your meals, snacks and exercises. You give it your perameters as far as how much you want to lose per week and it keeps tract of the rest. Awesome free app. Even let's you scan barcodes to auto enter foods. Searches the web for foods too.
