ozzie
Nice down hill runner but he doesn't have breakaway speed and he ran through alot of open holes....he likes to take or give the hit and keep chugging the legs but I wouldn't say from that highlight reel that he should have won the heisman.....hopefully he signs soon though
Scott K
Already done! Quote:Vikings agreed to terms with rookie RB Toby Gerhart, the No. 51 overall pick, on a four-year, $3.767 million contract. All Vikings rookies are signed. While Gerhart isn't ticketed for a ton of snaps with Adrian Peterson slated for every-down back duties, the former Stanford Cardinal should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. Gerhart's game is certainly NFL-ready, and he'll be an immediate every-week fantasy starter if Peterson gets hurt. The Vikings have very little talent behind him. Northlander
Pretty fly for a white guy. He will have to learn to keep his pads low but I like his determination with the ball. He will get stronger and be a real good short yard guy. I wonder how his blocking skills are though.
CJH
I like him, but they took him too early. 2nd round, when you have Adrian Petersen???!!!! He wasn't projected to go until the 3rd or 4th round.
FISHINGURU
He was one of the best if not the best RB in the draft, I think we got him in a great spot! Time to punish opposing D's late in the game!!
zepman
I agree FG...he's going to be a beast!! Vikes could not have waited and picked him a round or two later...he would have been long gone IMO.
PierBridge
Lets just hope he can block along with picking up blitzes.

Bear55
I like to thing about it this way, Farve or no Farve he isn't going to be around forever and there will come a time when we will depend heavily on the run, a 1-2 punch will be needed and the Vikes felt he was their other guy. Slob_Samurai
I think he will see alot better tackling in the nfl, and alot smaller holes.
Nick Kuhn
Still the general trend in the NFL of late is it's better to draft a young back than it is to keep an aging back past his prime. He doesn't need to be great, he just needs to keep defenses honest while he's on the field and get the yards the line gives him. It is possible he could also be a fullback for Peterson in some situations.

koonie
Yeah you made a list that shows exactly nothing. Congrats. If you think all those backs are better than T.G. then you've proven my point about you being clueless. You're just a Vikings hater. You are funny though. Projected round? That proves exactly what? Sorry. You can't provide a clue when you don't have one available to give.Just another Vikings hater. Good comic relief though. Lmao!!! JBMasterAngler
Mike Alstott got 949 yards in '99. C'mon, that's close enough to 1,000, give the poor whiteboy a break.

Mudcutter
that be 949 attp in a season,, or 59 a game,, lots of backs don't see 949 attp in a career. as vikes fans,, who can forget the true thunder and lighting with Alstott and Dunn. I like it--- AP and TG,,, a little less breakaway speed than C. Taylor,, but TG well be a decent to very good option. The Vikes have no one after those two,, so an injury or two could really hurt.
