Nice Walk Off Win Today!

That 9th was fun to watch this afternoon. It was the kind of inning that seemed to go on forever (and might have with 6 runners reaching, no outs).

All started with a fantastic at bat by OHud. What did he go, like 12 pitches? I was also happy to see no one was trying to win it all with one swing, but rather keep the rally going. I can't see the future, but this game sure seemed like a key win. NICE JOB Twins!

It was an awesome game to be at today! Great weather and a even better ending to the game! great performance from everyone. I also thought that walk by Repko was huge, coming off the bench and pinch running for Thome the previous inning. He showed great poise and did a great job getting on base to continue the rally. I am hoping this is going to be the game that turns our season around

rip-some-lip:

i couldnt believe the number of people who cleared out in the 8th inning and went home!!! no one had any faith! i'd say over 60% of the entire upper deck in the outfield cleared out.

number one rule in attending sporting events, never leave a game early! the only time it would be acceptable to leave early is when your team is ahead by a lot! that way, if you leave early, and they end up losing, you wont have to deal with watching it! always stick around for possible comebacks! kind of like the vikings/san francisco game i was at this past fall. i had a group of friends at the same game and left early cuz they thought we were going to lose, and they ended up missing the best play of the year (that also won an ESPY)

a lot of people had no faith in the twins pulling this one out! its like come onnnnn! its a beautiful summer day and you paid good money for this game, why not watch the whole thing? do people really have something so much better to do than finish watching a game they paid to see?

We were there also and you are right, it did clear out in the 8th. Best part was a Sox fan snuck down to our area and sat right behind us for the 8th and 9th. We were [PoorWordUsage]-ing then when Jenks came in he said "this could be ugly" wow he was right if you are a Sox fan.

Best game I have been to in a long time. Also I was 0-4 this year prior to yesterday.

Young and Morneau and Pavano would be battling it out for TWIN's mvp

Young would also get some votes for league mvp, but because he has been a HUGE surprise and the Twin's "small market" status, he wouldn't win.......YET. IF he stays HOT, and the guys in front of him keep working the count to get on.......he'll get more votes(he would deserve it).

In a TEAM GAME, NOBODY "carries the team".....but team members know who is "HOT", and work hard to get on in front of that person, and the manager keeps penciling in the names on the line-up card...WHERE THE SUCCESS IS COMING FROM...

The TWIN'S have hit Jenks decent before, but I don't ever remember stringing that many together before....IMPRESSIVE!

i looked at the score when i was golfing right at the start of the 9th and thought it was long gone then i checked a little bit later man when you think they are dead in the water they come back like that maybe thats the jump start they needed

Was at the game as well, sitting a few rows back off first base and nobody left as far as I could see from the entire lower deck. What a game though,

nice win "for the good guys."

i was lower deck too, 10th row behind twins dugout. no one left from the lower deck, or it appeared that way because the peoples seats who did leave got taken over by people from the upper deck. it was very obvious that over half the people sitting in the upper deck in the outfield (all you could see from my seats) werent there in the 9th inning. some left, some prolly moved down to the lower deck and scavenged some empty seats

When we lived in KC we went to a ton of Twins/Royals games. One night we went up like 4-0 in the first. Theres always a ton of Twins fans at the "K" so everyone gave the Royals fans some razzing. 2 innings later, we blew the lead and the Royals were way up, by like 5 runs. Boy did we all get an earfull, so bad my now ex-wife and I left. We walked into our house turned on the TV and the Twins were back up. I now, years later, wish we had stayed.
