1. Get Mauer healthy.....send Butera down, bring Ramos up and play him 5 times a week for a couple weeks at least. Letting Joe have some time to heal will do more FOR the team than anything else would....and Ramos's bat will make it easier to give Joe extended time. Automatic-out Butera doesn't do the team much good.

2. Light a fire under the starters....Too much talk about trades....they've lost focus

3.DH Young more, put a speed guy in left(Revere)....need to get SOME piranha action back on the bases.

4. Don't overuse Guerrier...if Maharus can't spell him enough, give Slama a chance....need a healthy Neshek, but probably won't be ready this year yet.

How about trade for Oswalt, start Duensing, and bring up Slama, Morales, and Manship or G Perk.

Ditch Blackburn and bullpen Slowey for an innings eater. Baker atleast has the chance to pitch a gem everyother start.

I also like the rest Mauer a bit more over the next 3 weeks to utilize him more at the end of the season.

Light a fire under EVERYONE. look at the white sox, about a month ago they threatened to blow the team up- trade everyone and start over....after that they have been on tear! Let people know that if they are playing like @@@@ they will be benched/traded/sent to the minors....and if people don't perform back up your words and do something drastic

yes ramos's 4 game stint with us was some bit of a fluke. he has been putrid in rochester ever since his mini call up, hitting around 200. moralas is hitting somewhere around 280 in his rehab stint and would be a much better candidate for a call up to warrant joe some rest time

1. No doubt Mauer has to play better, whether it is a slump or health, he has to. I can live with him sitting some extra days if need be, but I would like it a lot more with Morales up here. Ramos is hitting .210 and isn't much of a defensive catcher so I wouldn't be in favor of him up here.

2. If they have lost focus because of trade talks, they aren't true professionals.... there wouldn't be so much trade talk if they would starting pitching even decent!

3. Bring Revere up in a pennant race???? Seriously??? There is a reason Revere is where he is. He doesn't belong here yet and moving Young to DH more, leaves Thome out of the lineup. Also, if you are going to rest Joe a little more, I would assume he would claim some of those DH slots.

4. Guerrier is definitely overworked... I would like to see if they can pry a guy like Soria away from KC.... slim chance, but making him the Closer or setup guy just makes the bullpen that much deeper. Mijares should only pitch to lefties.... I'm all for Slama or Coudrey getting a shot. It would be nice to add a lefty to the pen, so Duensing moving into the rotation won't hurt so much...

Believe it or not, KC and us have never made a trade in their franchises history. I would love to get Soria and Grienke from them. That would be dandy.

1.I keep thinking about last year, when Joe got a late start....he played like a "man around boys", for the first month....get him healed up,healthy,strong, for the stretch run(and play-offs). However necessary....sign Redman,or bring up Moralles, keep Butera for the emergency catcher, so you can pinch-hit Mauer.....Probably take 2 weeks, but It would reap benefits for the rest of the year...IMO.

3. I wouldn't worry about Revere for the pennant race as much as Slama....use him for defense(late inning) and pinch running, piranha action.

4. I would really like to see Soria as our closer, use Rauch for set-up again. Condrey is done for the year I think I heard...arm trouble yet.

another gem from a starter tonight. anybody know why slowey started following a four day break for the team? why not take the break to change the rotation.

Pavano is our #1 guy right now but he pitched on sunday so why not start liriano today, pavano tomorrow and then slowey or baker on saturday? no guarantees that liriano would have done any better than slowey but nothing like working the bullpen a bunch right off the bat. I suppose changing the rotation following four day break must not be in the manual?

We could give you some nice prospects that I am sure you could mold into superstars in a few years. Of course, we really don't need a guy like that who is obviously under performing like he is, but you know, we could help you guys out.....if you wanna!

Twins need a couple of guys like Gaetti on this team again. They just plain look soft...very little grit...especially in their pitching staff. Slowey and Baker both look like their 16 years old...I wonder if they even have to shave yet?

Morneau's extended leave...if it lasts...might take this team out of contention before months end.

Trade Cuddy NOW...get some help on the pitching staff and be done with it already!!

With Morneau heading to the 15 day DL it is not looking very promising. The Twins need to make a move now and not later. We need some pitching in here that will help offset the loss of Morneau.

Cuddy can play too many positions to be expendable....Kubel is expendable, and replaceable in the OF.

problem with cuddy is that while he can play different positions, he's for the most part mediocre at any of the infield positions. he has absolute no range for the infield positions he's playing. he's batting only a few points higher than punto ande way less than valencia so he doesn't make up with his bat what he lacks with his defense to play any infield other than 1b when morneaou is out.

the other problem is I can't imagine that any other team out there would take him right now with his offensive output and salary. I said it last year at year end that they should have traded him then when his value was at an all time high.

if they are going to trade a bat, I'm afraid kubel probably would be the guy. overabundance of lefties on the team already and got to think he's got considerably more trade value than cuddy. plus I can't imagine that gardy would ever allow either cuddy or punto to be moved from the team.

cuddy in the cleanup spot is killing us, right now. Why does gardy always make the obvious moves way too late?
