What were they all snagged on? What part of the river were you on?

mainly snagging on eachothers lines. its like webs of line down there! follow one line, and you find more, follwow that one and find more! its quite fun, pulling up matts of fishing line full of lures

You could maybe sell them at flee markets or on-line. My neighbor has been selling older crankbaits 1/2 have they sold for and rods and reels at flee markets. so far he is made about $300 in 4 weeks or 4 days. The flee markets are only running for half days.

The worst snags are balls of old fishing line, especially on rivers. Carpet is another...and old sandbags..they suck too.

I "Mark" nasty snags and then harvest them with a Frabill Lure Retriever.

Once found...then you just extend and screw that retriever into a ball of line, and you get the whole wad and whatever is caught up in it. Scored some huge finds of cranks this way on popular spots on the rivers I fish.

One can pay for a $29 Frabill lure retriever preaty darn quickly that way. wink

Carpmanjake, if you ever search the bottom of cedar lake, keep an eye out for my wedding ring wink It's in the beach area somewhere.

That's rough man. My brother just lost his in Lake Nebagemon near superior, WI. The funny part about it was that he wasn't worried that the wife was going to be mad as much as he was about buying a new $300 ring.

I still remember the pics you posted a while ago with all of the lures you found carpman.I really need to get out there and try this.

Very Cool Jake!

If nobody has notice, Jake does this once or twice a year and makes a killing every time! smile Personally I thought one of your hauls last years yielded more product than this. Could be wrong.

Always very cool! Thanks for sharing. smile

Gawd thats awesome! My girlfriend did some diving for lures on a rock bar a few years ago and to my surprise swam up with a 10lb boat anchor with some rope! It had 5 or 6 lures/jigs on it. We use the anchor to this day. Nothing like your haul though! Nice work.
