OnAFly
After getting refusal after refusal from my normal carping lake, I headed out to find virgin fish. I spent 20 minutes blind casting a catching a bullhead here and there until I hooked up with a decent carp, about 18 inches. Next cast, a drum, which I didn't even know were in there. Another 20 minutes went by before I found what I was looking for. After 20 minutes, three blazing runs, and a mishap with the anchor rope (I thought for sure I would lose him there), he finally tired enough to handle him. Stick500
Here is a sheephead I caught Friday night. Length 30 1/2. She put up a battle. I'd love to see it! while I'm here I saw something real unusual yesterday in a SW Wisconsin stream- the water is so low and warm in the Fever River (New Diggings) that there were about 30-40 big suckers all stacked up in a shallow section where a spring feeder was emptying in I had to throw a crawler in just to see if they'd bite but the poor suckers were in complete survival mode and not interested in anything to eat hope they make it OK- we need rain down here bad!
