HorseshoeChain
Ok, I know everybody has a different comfort level, and different circulation, etc and all those other answers you normally get with a question like this. And no boot will keep you warm forever when you're not moving at all. -But, I'm hoping to hear from other hunters like me, who even if it's 10 or 20 below zero, are still sitting in a bow stand.Have you found any really warm boots??The Sorels I had were ok.I bought Cabela's Inferno 2000 Pac Boots. For a heavily insulated, extreme weather boot, they are pretty comfy and not as clumsy as some others. Most of the boot is very warm. But, the most critical part -the toes- doesn't have as much insulation as the rest of the boot. Once I noticed the problem, I felt inside with my hand, and you can tell most of the insulation ends before the tip of the toes.It didn't take long on stand to feel the cold coming rapidly through the toe area. If it wasn't for that, these would be awesome boots.Any suggestions?I need size 14 and some don't come that big.
Archerysniper
I were lacrosse ice stalkers and then bring boot blankets with for those late dec hunts the problem is you would have too try to find boot blankets to go over those snow shoe size boots you all ready wear
mrklean
boot blankets work great i used them this year when it was 0 out and i didnt have a problem and my feet always get cold, form $50 they are a great investment
HorseshoeChain
Yeah, I like the concept of the Boot Blankets. You can wear a lighter boot on the way in, and pull on the insulation when you get there. -Same thing I do with my outer clothing. But, I do wear size 14's and putting another layer over that is pretty much like wearing snowshoes on stand! catchphoto_filet
Baffin Bay IMO are the best boot for cold temps. You get what you pay for so dont go cheap!
Musky Buck
Sorel had it, but don't make the dominator boot anymore, fairly heavy, but I've had this pair for 12 years or so and I have yet to even come close to having cold feet, they are great for ice fishing and muzzy season and also strengthen your legs. I wouldn't even need to wear socks in these boots.
Black Bear
Army issue white mickey mouse boots with "fresh" dry socks........if you feet get cold after 5 hours in these---its too cold to hunt. This works for me down to -20.
ccarlson
I like the cabela's predator extreme boots for the really cold stuff. Almost too warm for much active stuff. ccarlson
hunter991
I use LaCrosse IceMan boots. They are horribly clumsy to walk in, but my feet freeze and they barely do the trick. But they are cold weather boots and probably would work well for most people other than me. I remember being told that you want your boots loose so air can circulate. I found this contradictory however.. You don't want them tight, but not loose either. I went down a size this year and it seemed to work well with Morino wool socks. Boot blanket are your best bet. They work for sitting. Or stuff a heat packet in the toe. That's what i have resorted too.

Powerstroke
I use the Cabelas Saskatchewan! Built in insulation and removable felt liners.
mngoosehunter
like black bear said the Army boots are the way to go. My feet have never gotten cold in these and if you don't have them your missing out. They are really reasonablly priced too I got my online for 40 bucks. By far the BEST boot on the market hands down if your trying to keep your feet warm.
cryhavoc
I think Black Bear was referring to Bunny Boots, they are old U.S. Air Force boots (They come in white or black). They are pretty heavy, but you can shove ice cubes inside these boots and your feet will melt the ice cubes and your feet will not get cold. Heavy, but amazing. These are the boots that have an adjustable air layer, this is part of what creates the ability to heat your feet. They look like this. Matter of fact I bought muck boots last year because they were light and supposed to be warm I switched back to the Dominaters for the cold days. WAG416
Bunny Boots!! I have two pair and have a few friends that have them. They say they last for years. Heavy, and not the best for alot of walking, but sure are toasty. Dont remember the last time my feet got cold. Wont win any fashion contests but i wont wear anything else in sub zero weather. They have them listed in Sportsmans Guide i think under "Mickey Boots" as well. I have heard the black boots are supposed to be cheaper, but lack an extra layer of wool(or air pocket) one of the two, theres something different about 'em.Not sure how many you could find in a size 14, but I wear a size 12 and think I could have easily gotten away with a size 11. Random guy
I wear Mickey Boots every day on the ice for work and they are great but when it comes to my personal fishing time and cold weather hunting I wear Stieger Mukluks out of Ely MN. The Cammuk is ultra warm, ultra light and they fit my 13 wide feet. Last year was my first year using them and from deer hunting and snowmobiling to ice fishing I NEVER had cold feet. Plus they make this clumsy doofus move through the woods like a ninja with soft bottoms. I will admit when my girfriend talked me into them I thought wow these things look odd and no way are they warmer then some of the new space aged boot; was I wrong! To be honest I seldom wear anything else anymore plus they are as comfy as bare feet.
sparkydm
Two of my hunting buddies wear the Mukluks also. One reports cold feet but I think he is cold blooded anyway. The other has to bring extra socks because his feet sweat so much in these things. Me, I have an old pair of Sorels with newer high tech liners. I use the battery powered socks in them and don't have issues. I like the idea of the boot blankets because I don't like the feel of big bulky clumps on my feet. Everyone is different so you gotta try a few different things to find what works for you.
pulleye16
best boot for the buck like others have stated Mickeys or Bunnies. Mills sells the blacks at most stores but the whites can be harder to find. Most of the time their in USED condition but they could have been used for 10 years and put on the shelf and you'd still get your moneys worth!? about those Stieger Mukluks, are they waterproof? what can you expect to pay? sparkydm
The Mukluks ain't cheap. Around $200 according to their HSOforum.
Random guy
I was not happy about the price of the Mukluks or " CamMuks" at first but after using them for a year I have to say money well spent. I have been wearing them up fishing on the Rainy. Great in the boat as I can feel the floor/edges under me, ultra light and the tread does not track junk into the boat.
