Who's Your Favorite Team?

I first really got into baseball in 1981, watching the Dodgers and Yankees in the World Series that fall. Even at that time, I could tell the Yankees were to be hated...been a Dodger fan ever since.

But the Twins are #1. Listening to Herb Carneal call the games on the radio is when I really got into baseball.

Also an Oakland A's fan. That organization does a great job developing young pitchers, and I am kind of a fan of the Billy Beane Ball strategy.

Been a Twins fan since the days when they were REALLY bad.

Actually went to a game in the 70's with a bag on my head. (Anyone remember KQRS setting up this event?)

Been a huge fan since the '87 season. Season ticket holder for 6-7 years now. Can't wait for the opener at new Target Field.

I've told this story before but I am old, so I am entitled to repeat myself! Just turned 50 this year and I remember 1969 when I was 10, my two best friends were one Cub fan and one White Sox fan which helped me put up with our Cubbie fan's rantings all year. If any of you recall, the Cubbies were on fire that year and my beloved Pale Hose lost 99 games that year and were terrible from the start. We took his Cubbie carpola for the entire year....and then a funny thing happened in the last 6 weeks of the season and it was called the Amazin Mets! We poured as much smack on him in those short weeks as he dumped on us the whole summer.

Been a Pale Hose die hard ever since and Geno was right, my two favorite teams are The White Sox...and whoever plays the Cubs! I am devolping a strong 3rd place love for.....any guesses? Right! WHO EVER IS PLAYING THE TWINKS! LOL

Grown men acting like boys. This describes both baseball players and baseball fans! Let the season begin!!!

Windy, you young whippersnapper you.....'69 pales in comparison to the year that that Oriole guy (whatzhizname?) Tito Landrum, took some bum out into the bleachers....and I'm thinkin' that could be the same year of that famous "Dybzinski" baserunning gaffe, but my memory eludes me now as I'm 4 yrs older than you....but I will NEVER forget '69....where is Richard Selma now anyway?

While we're talkin' '69, why don't you give me the WSox AllStar lineup?

Here's the Cubbies:

Kessinger

Beckert

Williams

Santo

Banks

Hickman

Hundley

CF

P

Amazin' Mets? The only thing amazin' about that year was the Cubs' choke.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
