The Vikes went into a VERY tough environment and played well enough to win.

I'm disppointed in the loss but....

I had a lot of fun and they were very entertaining.

not Nearly as dissapointed as the botched field goal By Anderson. years back! A succesful season for the most part we were literally 51 yards from the super bowl and we never took a shot!

NOT a successful season. We had the personnel in place to go to a superbowl and screwed it up again. I cannot tell you how big a disappointment this season is. How many years til we get another chance? Here are the top free agent quarterbacks available for next year:

Tavaris Jackson

Kyle Orton

Chad Pennington

Jason Cambell

Kellen Klemens.

Matt Moore is a Restricted Free Agent and the only one that looks to have a chance at anything. Without a quarterback WE ARE SCREWED, and if T-Jack starts next year I don't know if I can watch. That would be a step back to a guaranteed mediocre team.

Side note: I am venting, I'm [PoorWordUsage] and I know I should be used to this disappointment by now. I guess I've only watched the Vikings for 25 years, and for some reason I still have hope. Someday I'll get over that, like you old timers.

I've watched them lose 4 Superbowls and 5 NFC Championship ganes.

It was certainly a disappointment but I will say the OT sucked and it wasn't entirely the Vikes Defenses fault.

I do appreciate the work the Vikes put in this year and how well they did show up in the Super dome where I'm sure it was tough at best to play.

I also appreciate the 12-4 season as well as the whoopin they put on Dallas. They also looked like the better team against the Saints.

I'm looking forward to next season. It should be interesting to say the least.

The Pack is looking good too and our schedule will unclude Arizona, Dallas, and New Orleans. Two of those teams the Pack won't face.

Vikes were in it to the end,, into OT. Can't really complain about that,, they had a very strong chance,, just didn't work out.

As far as comparing this to 98',,, not even close.

1998--- Vikes 11pt FAV over the Falcons at home

2009--- Vikes 3.5 pt Dogs on the road.

It was certainly a disappointment but I will say the OT sucked and it wasn't entirely the Vikes Defenses fault.

One cannot blame the refs for the OT calls. The Vikes had many chances during the regular time game to win and as usual, didn't do it.

I didn't really care for three calls in ot but it really should not have mattered. They simply choked again when the chance was there to get it done.

If it were not for Farve, they would never have gone this far.

??? Personnel??? Like the Saints didn't have the personnel in place as well... They made key investments in players just the same... I guess the Saints where unaware that we had Jared Allen, AP, Farve, etc.... So actually the Saints screwed it all up.....

I really enjoyed watching the Vikes play this season.

Having Bret as QB with out a doubt made for part of that excitement.

Yes, it was a game that was fun to watch. Too many ups and downs for me though.

I hope Farve comes back for another year. It would be exciting.
