Badger
Well I guess SD's pro football team still has the same number of championships that MN's team does. I thought this may be the year MN one-up's SD, but it didn't happen. What he said...It DID NOT HAPPEN......No Championships!!!

I thought this may be the year MN one-up's SD but it didn't happen. You werent the 12th man, but you are a closet viking fan that is so bitter about the teams history that you take the stance you do. You just like the bit, it helps you deal with the disappointment.

BlueLundFishrman
Life is good fisherofmen, Vikings got beat, even with the most talented team in the NFL (in years). They always seem to find a way. 33 years without a shot at even losing the Super Bowl, well at least your still been to more than the Browns, Lions, Jaguars, and Texans combined. It's all good, you can take your shots at me for being from SD. It's sad that all the better you can come up with.
Cooter
The old saying is true that the league won't let SD have a professional football team because then MN would want one too.

zepman
Kind of an interesting read on PFT tonight that the V.P of NFL officiating said the refs blew the call on Favres first interception he threw. He said the low-hit on Favre(sprained ankle) should have been called and that the Vikes should have received a 1st down after the 15 yd. penalty. The reason: The Saints had just received a 15 yarder for roughing the passer after Favre was pile-driven into the turf. His thoughts were that the refs "ate the whistle" on the interception play. Funny thing also...He would not comment on Lebers pass interference call in overtime.... Although none of this matters anymore...it sure does make a guy wonder sometimes......... fishersofmen
Your right cooter, I wouldn't call a team going to the nfc championship game a "pro team". Guess that sais alot for your club. Bluelund, whats sad is your initial shot at me for a "sarcastic" comment about Trent Dilfer. If you can't handle the replies then don't start the fire. Now run along.

Dude, I told my dad and my uncle that after he threw it... I said there is no way they'd call that after they called that last one... Even though the first one they called shouldn't have been called... Yes too late to cry about it, but it's the truth.
zepman
The V.P. of refs said that most definately the first one should have been called as it was "text-book" roughing the passer and an easy call. Oh well......
solbes
I wanted to throttle Aikman for his commentary after that hit. How was it not a penalty? Plenty of time for the guy to pull up short, then he lifted and slammed him into the turf. I take it then that Aikman never got knocked around and complained afterwards?Saints were out to knock Favre out of the game, and that hit was one of the worst. The non-call after that was at least a little more questionable, the high/low hit. They were timed a lot closer to the throw at least where he should be hit.Anyway I am trying to move on. It's been almost a week. I have to admit, it still hurts!
lawdog
The timing of the low hit doesn't matter. A QB in the pocket is protected from that hit even if he's still holding the ball. Head and lower legs OFF LIMITS! Saints are dirty, its a Greg Williams trademark. Just ask Kurt Warner!Pereira does a review on NFL HSOforum pretty much every week (well he did, he's retiring now). They are good refs in the NFL, really good actually, but this game was pretty poorly officiated by their standards in my opinion. There were some calls early that we got that were shaky too, but the latter part of the game there were HUGE calls that went against us. Pereira says he thought the fantom catch was a good call which I still don't agree with. He also said the review for the spot on the first down leap was inconclusive which is probably true... I think Aikman is still reeling from retireing from football because of those type of hits and being a tough guy old school wanna be he compinsates by making stupid comments . BlueLundFishrman
Better for you Vikings fans to get it over with last week than to have to live through two weeks and lose in the Super Bowl again. If Brett Farve couldn't get the Vikings to the Super Bowl this year, they might never make it again.

They said it would of put us in the 19 yd line so there goes 3 more points too. Oh what could of been.
