Why did the league wait so long? The Commissioner must hate the browns and vikings... or he's waiting for more natural disasters... I'll bite, just as you know its just funnin. This was decided way back when Taglibboo and the Dolphins and Miami negotiated to have the Bowl in Miami again along with the pro bowl back in 1999. You see NO was a hold out on this plan so they bought them out with a promise of a Bowl win. The hurricane was just a side bonus to the leagues bottom line. And as what color of aid they drink at these meetings of decisions its all the colors of the league thrown together and strangely it comes out pink. Why would the bookie quit, more money next season.Seems to me Vegas does just fine on the sports betting. If they did not, they would quit doing it. zamboni
The Bucs, the Old Browns (ravens), and now the Aints. All teams that have been known for really bad seasons get a ring before the Vikings. Depressing. Now if only the Lions were to win one before us. fishersofmen
In all seriousness harvey I agree. And this has nothing to do with the Vikes, I've always believed pro sports aren't what you see is what you get. The NBA should be a laughing stock after what was exposed in that league. There are powerful, wealthy people in this world (pro sports, government, fast food, medical field, universities, etc.) who control alot of things the public doesn't know about. All the bookies I know want equal money on both sides, they take their cut with little to no risk. Seems to me if all the big money is on one team, well no bookie in their right mind would want that. harvey lee
Like they said on CNN when the Saints plane arrived at LA "Louie Armstrong" airport, they deserved this for all that NO has been through. It had to be NO for the story.
PierBridge
Of course you guys are entitled to your opinion....But I couldn't be more flabbergasted or embarrassed that you guys would actually think the Vikings playoff game or this Super Bowl was fixed. That's Paranoid to the utmost extreme. bobbymalone
I agree with Pier 100%Other than money changing hands from gambling, what was stood to gain by fixing the game? So that CNN could give a report on rising from the soggy ashes? Please... Do you really think the NFL would risk getting caught so that some reporters have a good story to tell?Google "super bowl fixed" or "super bowl rigged" - crackpots have been calling shenanigans on internet forums since the beginning of the internet. Bear55
Is big money enough to buy off the Cards, Vikes, and Colts? I'm sure there's a lot of guys on those teams that have played their entire lives to win a ring. I wonder what some guys would give up just to have a chance to play in the Super Bowl? I can see boxing or other individual sports do you conspiracy guys really think the higher powers can buy off entire teams or setup a whole league? Not likely. bobbymalone
What's Pete Rose got to do with anything?
zamboni
NOBODY wants to lose these games, especially the Super Bowl. Rigging hasn't been done since the 98 NFC game, errrrr, I mean the Black Sox scandal.
harvey lee
What's Pete Rose got to do with anything? Seems Pete Rose would gamble for and against his team while still in baseball. Not cool. Just shows it does go on.There is more gambling in pro sports and the fix.I found three different links today in regards to the pro sports figures and coaches betting on sports results as a player or a coach.Check around and you will find the true facts.Seems a hockey coach was also a kingpin for major betting.I do not know how much more proof one needs. BlueLundFishrman
You should have your "large book" contact ESPN. I am sure if the story had any legitimacy to it, they would do a story on Outside the Lines.
