MUSKY18
In watching all the pregame shows yesterday and listening to all the interviews, you would think that all the fans actually believe they OWNED Favre. Longwell kicked for the Packers for 9 years and they didn't comdemn him to death like they did Favre. Even the old worthless Packers players act like Favre shouldn't ever play for another team. If I am not mistaken, did Lombari not coach a different team AFTER he coached the Packers? And to this day, they worship the ground he walked on like he was holier than the Pope himself. Everyone is oh so happy with Rodgers, LET IT GO!!! The Vikings now have the better QB so deal with it!!

tcroz
I agree 100%...some of the comments by Fuzzy Thurston and Jerry Kramer were just plain disturbing! He gave them 16 years of great football they should be thankful. Bottom line is the Pack did not treat him the way he should of been treated and now he is in a better place. Pack fans need to grow up they have a good QB...but we have #4....PRICELESS!
Steve Foss
Well I've heard of sore losers before, but sore winners? You guys have a great QB, and the Vikes won what turned out to be a bit of a hard game against your fiercest rival. Why whine? Attitude check! we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 2, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 2, 2009 All that booing from pack fans shows a distinct lack of something from the cheeseheads that were doing that. That game was never close. The Pack took advantage of a gassed defense and when they finally got a breather the Vikes closed them out with ease. We all have McCarthy and Thompson to thank for Favre being in Minnesota helping the Vikes whoop it up on the Pack in GB.
Jim Uran
AMEN TO THAT!!!!!We dominated them, they showed no class, now we have a Scnoni' in here telling us we are whiners??? HA HA HA!!
Steve Foss
AMEN TO THAT!!!!! We dominated them, they showed no class, now we have a Scnoni' in here telling us we are whiners??? HA HA HA!! That's funny. No one called you or Vikings fans in general whiners. Only the other first two posters got that label from me. So if you aren't a whiner, why did you come out to play when I didn't even call your name?
pegleg
What I got a kick out of were the Packer fans that were booing Brett at the beginning of the game and then right before halftime they started booing Aaron Rodgers. Real Funny and classy....
Scott K
I was at the game, and I was tailgating amongst the cheeseheads on Saturday and Sunday. I don't think I need to defend the cheeseheads, but let me give you my opinion. I have talked with some of the fans, I was there at the game, I would bet that there are close to half of the fans that said that they are Favre fans, and they missed Brett. There was a lot of green #4 jerseys being worn, a lot of the half green and half purple #4 jerseys worn. We ate at a steak house in GB, the waitress even said she has been a life long Packer fan, and will be cheering on Favre. I would say it was close to 50/50 hate or love, not much in the middle.During the start of the game, sure there was a loud boo, but there was a lot of cheering for him as well. To be honest, there was maybe 25% purple at the game. The boo'ers were just the louder ones. I have been to a few football games, and the opposing teams QB will always get boo'd, then you add in the fact it is a rival, an ex player that was suppose to be the name and face to your team forever, you then get a lot of emotions. I guess I didn't think it was classless for them to boo Favre. One cheesehead said as we were walking back to the car, "I figured we would lose, they have Favre, and all he does is win".Now don't get me wrong, I cant give all the cheesheads the credit of having class, I sat next to a couple drunk ones, with lots of profanity, and some stupid comments directed at my 12 yr old son, because he had an AP jersey on. Although I addressed that, and it did stop, but I think it was more because they were getting smoked, rather then being intimidated by myself. MUSKY18
Whining? Oh, I think not. I was merely stating that the Packer Fans acted like Favre rode out of town under the cover of darkness and took the Lombardi trophy with him. Football is a business and business decisions were made on both sides. The Packers in not choosing to keep Favre, and Favre in choosing to play for the Purple. Let it go!! Live in the now. Throughout this whole deal, Favre has carried himself with nothing but class and respect for the Packers and the fans acted like [PoorWordUsage]. Its like there is fine print in every Packer contract that reads "You can only ever play for the Packers or you will be tared and feathered." Can't figure out if they are mad because Favre and the Vikings are winning and the Packers suck, or if they all just have a love of Brett Favre that is so deep they can't stand to see him somewhere else. Like a bunch of jilted lovers. He is proving that he can still play at a very, very high level, so why wouldn't he want to play where he could win. You expected him to play for the Lions? Come on. Whining.....no. I think that distinction goes to the Packer fans!!!!
pegleg
4wandering, I was more surprised by the Packer fans booing their team before half time than I was of them booing Bret. I have been to probably 8 Viking games at Lambeau and that had to be the most purple jerseys I have seen there. I wasn't there in person on this one but it sure looked like a lot of Vike fans there. Scott K
To be honest, after the score was 14-3, it was so quiet in there, you could hear somebody 30 rows away belch. The crowd did finally react at half to show their displeasure with how the team was performing. In the opening of the 2nd half, you wouldn't have even known the teams took the field, if you weren't watching the field. It did get loud in there after the turn over, and the TD's, but then it got silent again after we scored.

Steve Foss
i wonder if the bears will have a better record then the pack at the end of the season?? Unless the Vikes stumble, it won't matter one single bit whether the Pack or the Beers have the better record. Barring miracles, neither one will catch the FavreQueens, and neither one will catch a wildcard berth.
hugonian1
Totally classless. Are they going to boo him and have a mock funeral when he goes into the hall of fame?I loved what Ditka said- "I would just like to know what grade these guys are in".I was embarrassed by the Packer fan behavior and I am a Vikings fan. Not this Packers fan. As a team, the Vikes had the best overall talent of the three, IMO, even before Favre signed. Now you have ALL the elements you need to win the big one. SledNeck
I consider myself so fortunate to be there to see the best player in Packer history forever tarnish his legacy in Green Bay. As vikes fans, if we never win the superbowl, we'll always have this.Side Note: I have nothing bad to say about Packers Fans. I was a guest of a season ticket holder who lives in Green Bay and we tailgated at a house 2 blocks from Lambeau and everyone treated me good and made me feel welcome....even after the game. croixflats
I think its a bit ironic that green bay fans call out the Minnesota fans ,not signaling out anyone here just talking general, as being bandwagoneers and flippant but I think we got a taste of what some green bay fans are about. Take a Minnesota fan and look how they treat a returning, a good one, player like say Garrnett or Hunter or Gabberyk no boo's just cheers.Fansmanship is a fickle beast all should be forgiven as we all at times live off of emotion. In all fairness, they did throw batteries and other things at Chuck Knoblauch when he came back. But, most of that was because he was running his yapper about the Twins organization
