Dark Cloud
Steelers should consider themselves lucky to come out with a win. Wow, I dont even know what to say...
BlueLundFishrman
No one wins them all, just ask the Patriots. Ask the Patriots how many Lombardi Trophies (plural) they have.
CRAZYEYES
If you ask me it was a fairly good performance with poor coaching. Against a team like the steelers they should not have let the last minuite of the first half run out and should have tried to get into field goal range then they would have been tied on the last drive of the game and not scrambling. then they should have kept the ball on the ground the last few plays and made sure they at least had the tie and a shot at overtime. I just think that it was bad playcalling from the sidelines. . I think that they were failed by childress and poor coaching as much as they failed themselves. BlueLundFishrman
Had they made use of the last seconds of the 1st half and scored a TD, it would have changed the way the rest of the game was played. Obviously they still lose.

MUSKY18
Favre lacks mental toughness. Saw that through his years with packers. He gets rattled and tries to force stuff in. The team has taken on his mentality. Also your coach is too passive with no killer instinct That is absolutely hilarious!!! Are you kidding me? Without Favre's mental toughness and leadership filtering down to the rest of the team, they wouldn't be 6-1 right now. Sure he tries to force things once in a while, but those have been very few and far between this year. How many interceptions does he have this year????? You don't keep that number as low as it is by forcing stuff. Tomlins post game interview was right on the money. They are lucky to have won, and if it wasn't for their defense coming up with some big plays, they wouldn't have.

Big Dave2
Favre lacks mental toughness. Saw that through his years with packers. He gets rattled and tries to force stuff in. The team has taken on his mentality. At what point in any game this season has Favre seemed rattled? When has he tried to force stuff? Was it when he was executing game winning drives inside of 2:00?Was it when throwing a predetermined 5 yard screen pass to a normally pretty sure handed running back?I'm pretty sure I am seeing one of the most composed QBs the Vikes have ever had. zamboni
Some of this has been covered, but a few things I seen:First play of the game the offsides- why not accept it and have 1st and 5, instead of 2nd and 3?Bad decision to challenge that catch- but on flipside a great challenge on Rices catch. I have no idea what Bevell was yelling at Childress about, but I think Chilly told him to shut up- in not that nice of wording. the 3rd and longs and running plays. Somewhere Jerry Burns was watching, telling his wife that is what he woulda done, too.And finally our last good drive that we would have taken the lead. Inside the 20, why throw the ball on first down, or even second down??? Run it, we have the best RB in the game, and still had 2 minutes left, get some of that time off the clock. If you don't make it, you kick the FG and tie it up.
Big Dave2
Last week everyone was yelling that they should have thrown the ball at the end of the game instead of playing conservatively for the fieldgoal. This week they will get torched for throwing the ball instead of running it. Can't please anybody these days.

harvey lee
The Vikes offense dropped numerous passes, had a ton of penalties and our defense dropped a few that they could have stopped Pittsburg with.We were not bad today but we didn't have a great game at all. caocao
Well the only thing I am satisfied is when the Ref gets POUNDED!! HAHAHAHAHAAHH
eyehunter
I agree, the Steelers didn't beat the Vikings, the officiating crew did!! This was by far the best team that we have played this year and I think they did pretty well against them. We kept Big Ben in check and the game was close all the way through. The next time we play them (in Miami) it will be a different outcome...
bucketmouth64
Right before halftime we should have taken a shot down field. Vikes had one time out and enough time to try and maybe get in position for a field goal. Instead, Chilly runs the clock out. Then at the end of the game with 4 seconds left Chilly takes a time out when we are down by two scores. Last play Favre gets crushed. Way to go Chilly and almost get your qb hurt. What a bone head. bottomdweller
The only gripe I have is why taylor was even in the game. It should be your play maker. Not saying peterson wouldnt have done the same, but at least have him in there when the game is on the line.
bassNspear
what i dont understand is why chilly has to put taylor in for them plays. We have the best running back in the country, and we always put taylor in, and screws it all up~TRIPPING>>>>>>COME ON THAT WASNT TRIPPING! zamboni
You guys notice Tomlins reaction to one of his players fumbling??? See ya, have a seat the rest of the game, sir. I really like him as a coach, and another one of our great coordinators got away there
Mudcutter
Vikes plaed a great game, better than almost all the others this year and lost. Best team they have played, probably. Did the Vikes lose to a better team? NO WAY. I was impressed with Favre and the def playing without Winfield.Sidney Rice??? WOW!!!!Brett FAvre makes this team so much better, it's not even close. If they play like they did agst the Steelers, they will go 14-2.
Larson15
Not to get off topic but what is the vikes plan if Favre doesnt come back?
Swimbait2009
what i dont understand is why chilly has to put taylor in for them plays. We have the best running back in the country, and we always put taylor in, and screws it all up! It's because Peterson had just finished running over a dude and gaining 20-some yards. Taylor is usually a very good option for a screen pass or underneath pattern. I feel it really was a high percentage play to the guy that's in there in that sort of situation when AP needs a breather. Chester blew it, and Pittsburgh capitalized in the worst way possible. Run that play 20 times, and Taylor catches that ball 19 of them. It's too bad he knocked the ball straight up in the air into the waiting steelers' arms. Obviously, if the ball falls to the dirt we still have a chance. It always hurts when big mistakes happen late in games. We had that one, and then when we allowed pressure to come from BEHIND favre. Not in front, not from the side, but BEHIND?! Line can't lose their containment there.
fishin58
I will agree with you sb09 that Chester catches that ball 19 out of 20 times. But the king did not deliver a very nice ball on that play. 1. It was high2. There was no touch on itI do not kow how many of you played football...but there are limitations to the dexterity of catching a ball directly above your head. I.e shoulder pads and combination with your helmet.
Swimbait2009
He hit him in the hands dude. Taylor missed it because he took his eyes off of the ball. If he had been hit and dropped it, then the problem is that it's too high. He would have dropped that ball if it hit him in the numbers. Too bad...I bet he didn't sleep so well last night. fishin58
I lived by the rule, touch it catch it. But, out of scale of 1-10 of catchability (sp) I would give it a 2. Only thing worse would have been if it bounced. What would you rate the throw? IN ALL HONESTY!!
Swimbait2009
Working off memory (haven't seen the replay yet, so please correct me if I'm wrong), Taylor was not on the move at the time of the catch, there was a minimal amount of pressure around him, and if I remember correctly he didn't need to leave his feet at all to make the catch. For those reasons I'm going 6...or even 7 when I take into account how reliable Taylor usually is with that play.
