Lowrider06
Just wondering how many people panicked and put there boat away in storage when it was snowing there a few times. I havent yet done that yet hoping to get out a few more times before doing so. Normally i dont put stuff in storage till after deer hunting is over. Nick Kuhn
Didn't scare me. I was out Sunday, and the air temp was below freezing. Deicing guides and levelwinds was all part of the routine then, and probably will be a few more times this year. I like to cast until the lures bounce. BobT
Yes! I've got soybeans waiting for harvest. Not only do they need it to stop raining, they need some sun and wind to dry down for harvest.
JimBuck
No way. Rainy River on Monday for a week....after that I might think about it. However, thinking and doing are two totally different things.

The Grebe
Yup, fixed er up and put er away for the season....not because of the snow, I just can't find anyone to go fishing with! I wanted to do some Mille Lacs perch and pitch somemore muskie lures, a also wanted to troll some baits for walleyes, but my fishing partners either live to far away, are hunting, are broke, are to caught up in other areas of life to go out. It will be shore fishing the rivers for me from now until the ice is safe enough to walk on.
jwmiller33
My boat wont be put in storage at all. I keep it in my garage here at school in st paul. The great thing about living so close to pool 2 is it doesnt freeze over and its year round walleye c & rIve been out on 5 different bodies of water in the past 2 weeks
EBass
Had the best day fishing this season this past Sunday. Boat is ready to um, float! I did change the lower unit lube when we were gettin into the 20's for lows. I won't put her away until the lakes are getting iced up. I am about to change the lower unit lube this afternoon after class. I also had my best day of fishing since like mid July on Tuesday. Gotta love fall fishing when the fish are biting. When you get skunked and your freezing your balls off, it is definitely NOT fun. But still, the worst day of fishing is better then a day with no fishing. snoozebutton
Mine's still out and will be for a few more weeks. I have a feeling that we'll get another warm spell before the ice comes. (Hope I'm right.)
Eric Wettschreck
Snowy weather is always a good reminder that winter is coming. It's not here, but coming.Having said that, mine is hooked to the back of my truck for some weekend/fall crappie fishing in the prairie. paceman
This Sunday is supposed to be a bit warmer. I think I will listen to the vikes on the radio while I'm bobbing on the water. A limit of eyes and a vikes victory would make a great day.....
yaggie
Go earlier and you can be back by kickoff! That's our plan.

LMITOUT
I was planning on heading west for pheasant hunting this weekend but the weather looks too good to pass up another couple trips in the boat yet this fall. On Monday I'll pack the guns and the pooch for a week of chasing ditch parrots.
TR21
Winterized the boat today, too much going on in the next few weeks. Next is the car, but hunting will get me through till the end of December then its only 3 1/2 months of agony till spring!

jwmiller33
ha ha ha ha i could name a few trips i wish i woulda stayed home.. like the time i fryed the battery terminal off the starting batt in the middle of a lake.. obviously there are going to be days of fishing that you would like to forget.. if your cruising thru a lake and rip off your lower unit on a rock pile, your obviously going to be p*ssed off and wish you didnt go fishing... it's just a saying... take it for what it's worthfor the most part, i'd rather be fishing everyday then doing the normal everyday grind
