My interest in photography comes back after mostly selling off all my gear and the sunshine disappears. So, I've been out having fun with my three el cheapo lenses: 24-85mm, nifty fifty and 135mm SF on my 5D:

The one lab I have takes up most of the couch anyway (well, when Rick's not around). I don't think he'd let any new pups on it.

I completely lost interest, my 5D has been up for sale a couple of times then at the last minute I couldn't part with it. But the interest is returning, I've been lurking at BH Photo and making a wish list, ha.

Wow,you can make a wish list,but judging from that 2nd image I would not sell that 5D-nothing new out there will do any better. And these were cheap lenses? Wow.

I'm using an old silver 24-85mm which has nice color and contrast, a nearly new plastic 50mm which seems sharp even at f/1.8 and a very old 135mm SF f/2.8. I'd like to replace that with a 135mm L or 200mm f/2.8 L but that's not going to happen anytime soon. I miss my Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 but I don't miss carrying around the weight.

So, I'm in make-do mode and staying away from Dpreview, ha ha.

At the risk of repeating what's already been said - these images are beautiful! You have a wonderful eye for composition, regardless of what kind of equipment you are using. All the puppy pictures are excellent, and I really am drawn to the variety of colors and textures in the flower shot as well. Thanks for sharing!
