greebs
well the pitching more or less came around this weekend but the bats went dead. seems like it's been that kind of a season where about the time one aspect of their game turns it around for the better, another aspect of it goes south. not looking too good at the moment as it appears the tigers are stepping it up in a big way while our boys falter on the road. obviously the tigers are going to have to have a collapse of epic proportion for this to turn out goood but does our team have the heart to capitalize on that collapse if it were to occur? bassphish2005
the loss today did not help!!
delta dude
Turn out the lights, if tigers play .500 ball the rest of way the twins would have to play over .800 ball to catch them.
Windy City Walleye Hunter
Sorry to say boyz but neither team is gonna catch the Kitties this year. It sadly is a race for second place but you know what they say....If you ain't the lead dog the scenery never changes!
mnwild
Yesterday loss didn't help one bit, I think that was the nail in the coffin to catch Detroit. Like you said Windy its a race for 2nd place the rest of the year.

Windy City Walleye Hunter
You are correct dude, go ahead and relax with that half a game lead. The way the Twinks have been playing I think I would rather be the one with one more game played! LOLIt's a sprint from here, word is Peavey will start against KC.Zoom Zoom

Windy City Walleye Hunter
Cutler? Did he pitch for the Sox today? Interesting, too lazy to even go to the correct thread.
Born2Fish
And there is still 19 games to go(Watch out Kitties!). It may be a race for second, but I also heard that Peavy may decide on whether he wants to play or not depending on their situation in the division. mr_jman
I think the bandwagon stopped to pick up a few more fans for this weekend! Seriously the Twins still have a shot at this should be a fun weekend of not only baseball, but Minnesota sports in general!
TR21
Do you think they could move the games this weekend to Target Field? Pennant race, outdoors, beautiful weather - Wishfull thinking
PierBridge
LOL...wouldn't that be something! It's going to be tough to make up 5 in the loss column. todays game is huge we need the Royals to take them out and they very well should with there ace going. You have to give the Tigers credit they have won a ton of close games with a few miracle rallys thrown in. And as we all know it's tough to close out the division title the pressure is on them right now and it's showing.Don't count out the Sox just yet either they are playing pretty loosy-goosy and don't have quite the pressure the Twins and Tigers do! RJ
No...We're commin..(Tigers)....for the weekend. Need to win one, hope to win two. No idea who we will pitch Sunday, but you get Verlander and Porcello on Friday and Saturday. Grenke is tough. Surprised we gave up so many runs with Jackson pitching. It happens, I guess. See ya this weekend. Go Tigers.
