DHanson
James-Mind if I use that quote in my signature? Thanks. Not directed at you fishin58. Just think its funny in general and I know a few of my buddies will get a kick out of it. Some who are bass fishermen and some who are not. Sorry for getting thread off track. fishersofmen
If the Vikes do end up getting rid of Jackson, I seriously don't think the odds are very good that he would ever even play again.....just goes to show when you get your shot in this league you better make the most of it when you do. I don't think he has done that. There has been better players at his position that are no longer around......
FISHINGURU
he might be an OK back up someday...but i wouldn't hold your breath.just like al bundy he hit his ceiling and full potential that one game he scored 4 tds!!
Dave S
At this point, I would almost give Ryan Leaf a chance before Jackson.

BlueLundFishrman
Who would trade for Tarvaris? You could consider yourself fortunate if someone gave you one of those $0.79 spinnerbaits!!
zamboni
At this point, I would almost give Ryan Leaf a chance before Jackson. Best locker room tirade ever belongs to Leaf. That reporter wet himself, I swear

machohorn
58 are you T-junks brother? you seem to be the only one here with faith in him. Kidding and all in jest but his passer rating stinks, he got yards but take away YAC and he only throws 40% completion ratio with less then 8 yards, after that it goes way down
fishin58
you can skew them many ways...but that is what the WCO is for YAC....how does his passer rating stink???? It has went up every year and last year his overall QB rating was 95.
machohorn
I will give you that, but I just do not see a winner there. We will see the final roster in 3 weeks. We can argue but it still comes down to who Farve, I mean Chilly wants on his team
Jim Uran
I agree, why the fight for Tjack, you have had a very strong Pro-Jackson voice all year.Where does the love come from man. I'm with everyone else. Glad to see him heading down the road. He's an avg Passer at best. He's never consitantly proven otherwise.
Getanet
The Vikes would be smart to hold on to him for a few weeks. See which teams loose their starting QB, then make a few calls and see who's interested in trading for him. Tjack might stink, but at least he's started some games in the NFL. There are some teams who will lose their starting QB and suddenly need a "quality" starter or back-up QB the first month of the season. And they might be so desperate they could convince themselves Tjack is a "quality" QB.
JeffB
My prediction is in about three years Tjack will be starting for another team doing just well enough to make some vikes fans wish we had him back, but I don't think he will ever be a great quarterback. ANYFISH2
Fishin58 isn't alone. I think Jackson still has some learning left to do, he hasn't had a bunch of above average Qb's to learn from since he got here. That is unlike a lot of "project" QB's. He was forced into starting WAY to early in his career, he has been handicaped more by Chilli than helped. That said I think he stay's unless there is a great offer for him. zepman
Let's just keep him and use him as our wild-cat option for q-back. That way it'll lessen Favre's load too. Lot's of ways to skin a cat this year...let's just see how creative this coaching staff can get.
