From the looks of it, one would think so.

As I was holding her and making sure she was OK. She regained her strength, kicked her tail, so I loosen my grip on her lower jaw and she swam forward and bit ME! She then tried to break my arm off and eat it. I guess she was still a little hungry. I wish i had it on video, I've never had a fish do that before.

I caught this today while walleye fishing, my arms are still tired! It was approximately 48", how much do you think it weighed?

A 48" fish, would be upwards of 40# depending on the girth.

That's a very nice Flatty there. But yeah a lot depends on the girth. By looking at it I would guess 45 lbs.

It's so hard to tell by pictures. If you got an honest to goodness 48", then I say 45 +/- 5 lbs.

If I was to just judge by the photo, I would say mid 30's.

I bet it was a lot of fun!! Nice fish.

Its so hard to tell by a photo. A 48" cat is a very nice fish. With a lack of girth, I would go close to 38 pounds.

I have caught flats and others here have told me no way for the size I stated and thats why I say its simply very hard to tell by the photo.
