My father in-law's epic drought finally came to end on Saturday night.

He caught 3 total including this dandy:

FIANLLY caught a catfish! and alot of catfish at that....

worms, shiners, cutbait, everything was working

lots of fun on the ultralight

we caught alot more than pictured

they may not be big but i don't even care

it was on an island, directly below a dam, on the miss, in north minneapolis

With the right gear, any fish can be a great fight. Try pulling in a 9 lb walleye on a big medium-heavy 8 foot flathead rod, I bet it wouldn't be as fun as those smaller channels on your ultralight! Nice pics, looks like fun.

yeah it was pretty rainy, i was soaked to the bone by the end of the day, but i was ear to ear the whole time!

i did catch an 18" inch walleye the same day, the first thing i said when i hooked it was "oh, dang"
